Re: AR Pistol or 300 BO rifle

A fully shotgun zone legal 12 gauge rifled 18" barreled shotgun firing Hornady SST sabot slugs puts more energy (ft-lbs) into a target at 100 yards (1795 vs 962) and 200 yards (1199 vs 734) than a 9" .300 BLK AR pistol. The .300 drops 8.6 inches at 200 yards with the 12 gauge at 11.6. If ...

Re: AR Pistol or 300 BO rifle

I will stick my neck out on this one... I do hunt deer with my 300 WTF pistol. I am in the shotgun zone so it is the best "hammer" I have availble to me. I have been activly hunting with it for 6 years. Long before the AAC Blackout was mentioned. I have taken somewhere around 15+ deer wit...

Re: Lakeville store: New name

Yup, Jeff left the business years ago when Bob took over. That's when it really started to suck. Craig was actually decent to me but then a tall skinny dude fond of wrangler jeans, boots and the 10 gallon cowboy hat was always in there. Prices were crazy high and zero respect or customer service. Wh...

Re: Anybody have a G42 yet?

I purchased mine from Jordan at Schreyer Weapons Systems a couple weeks ago. Very reasonable price and it's a dandy shooter. I have used 6 types of personal defense ammo and 3 types of FMJ target. They all functioned flawlessly. I don't know why early models had some issues but mine has had no hiccu...

Re: Galco Triton Holster

Looks like a solid holster, however, that's not a Glock 42 in that holster....

Re: Name this Glock part.

If there was piece of black polymer there, it may have been a piece of the molding from when the hole was made at the factory. However, It is certainly not something that is a part, cosmetic or otherwise. There are no covers over the pins on any Glock. The pins are solid steel and can be pushed out ...

Re: Double Review: Southwest Arms and AlienGear Holsters

The P229R is pretty much the same as your enhanced elite with the exception being mine does not have the extra beaver tail and no short reset trigger. I am going to add the SRT. The rail does not drag at all when drawing or reholstering. It is really a nice holster and like my other AlienGear holste...

Re: Double Review: Southwest Arms and AlienGear Holsters

Leather is good high quality tanning and finishing process. Good stiffness but not uncomfortable and 1/8 inch thick.

Re: Double Review: Southwest Arms and AlienGear Holsters

I have not "roughed" up the back, don't know why you would need to as it's very comfortable and doesn't slip. Sits great on the belt and I like mine to sit a little lower and use the deepest setting. This is tuck-able and completely disappears under a simple button down shirt tucked over i...

Double Review: Southwest Arms and AlienGear Holsters

First, I have to give thanks and offer support for Thunderjohn and Southwest Arms. I have been a loyal customer going on 3 years now. Many great purchases from him. Great service, great price, and great person. My latest purchase was a Sig Sauer P229R in 9mm. I love my striker fired guns but fell in...
