Porting barrels

I sent my barrel back to desert eagle and they attached their muzzle brake. Did a nice job and it work and looks great.

GLOCK 42 REVIEW

I got to play with one at keepers a few weeks ago. I really like it. I used my GSSF coupon already this year, so I will wait until next year to get a blue label one. It will replace my POS diamondback .380.

Thoughts on cutting barrel down

Thanks for the recommendations, I'm going to give a gunsmith I found in south St. Paul a try. I'll let you all know how it turns out. I just need to find time to get over there. Lot of things going on and it's not a huge priority. I appreciate all the responses! Bob Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapat...

Thoughts on cutting barrel down

Thanks for all the replies fellas. I could always add the muzzle brake for range time and take it off for hunting. Or I could just use this as a dedicated bench gun. I have so many rifles in different calibers I could use for hunting. I won't be shooting any high powered calibers or hunting for awhi...

Thoughts on cutting barrel down

The recoil doesn't bother me. I shoot a tikka 300 WSM and I know that has a lot more recoil. Just trying to tame it down a bit and add a lil more cool factor. And I like to modify everything I own. Lol

Thoughts on cutting barrel down

So I should not cut it down? I was hoping to at least add the brake to help with a bit of recoil. Thanks guys, you replied as I was typing the beginning of this. I would like to hunt with it, and going down to 17" would be ideal for me, then add the 3" brake. It's puts me back at 20",...

Thoughts on cutting barrel down

So I traded a guy on the forum for a Ruger American rifle in .308, and I'm thinking about getting the barrel cut down and a brake installed. Right now the barrel is 22". What would be a good length? 18"? I will be going with a FSC30 which is 3" long. Thanks! Bob Sent from my iPhone 5 ...

Recommend me a vacuum

I use a little dewalt shopvac when I run my trimmer. I made a adapter out of a cheap lowes vac attachment. It is a little loud so I just wear my head phones. I size, deprime and trim in one step. It's extremely fast and the trimmer is very consistent.

How to keep carbines upright and not bumping in the safe

I use their pistol hangers, works slick. I bet the rifle hangers are nice too. That's the route I would go.

Want to build g34 gen4 race gun

Well, got to bills, forgot my 9mm ammo, had to buy some cheap crap they had for 21.xx per 50. I tried the 4lb spring and had a few light strikes. I put the 4.5lb back in and no problems. I'll try the 4 lb spring again when I have my reloads with. All in all, the gun shot great! Very happy with the r...

Want to build g34 gen4 race gun

I was getting 3.6lbs on the trigger gauge with the 4.5lb spring. And I just put the 4lb spring in and I'm getting a 3lb trigger pull on the lyman gauge. I just want to make sure I don't get light primer strikes with 4lb spring.

Want to build g34 gen4 race gun

Thanks! Just trying to figure out what firing pin spring is the best option. I have the stock, 4, 4.5, and 5 lb springs. I went with the 4.5 for the time being, but what is going to give me the lightest trigger?

Finally picked up the 34 Monday. Got the goodies installed today. Trigger feels great and the sights look awesome! Now can't wait to get out and shoot it!
