Re: 7.62X54r Spam cans

Thanks for the replies guys. After looking around online a bit, the price at Gander isn't too bad after you figure in online shipping. I'll look around a bit this weekend.
Cheers.

7.62X54r Spam cans

The only place I've seen that has them in the metro area so far is at Gander Mtn in Woodbury for 129.99$. Fleet Farm never seems to have them anymore.

Does anyone know of other places besides Gander Mtn that has them in stock? Is 129.99$ about the going price for a can these days?

Re: MN State Ruger Rimfire Challenge Match

Ha! Yeah that makes sense I guess. I will be one of those people who need to bring double the minimum ammo requirement ;)
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, Keith.

Re: MN State Ruger Rimfire Challenge Match

Man, this sounds so awesome. I love Ruger, I love shooting rimfire and I love having the chance to win guns. I hate having to ask this, but how much ammo is needed for one of these shoots? I take it participants are required to provide their own ammo? 22 seems to be slightly more available than a co...

Re: Fleet Farm Inventory Report

http://www.ammo-can.net/?st=MN&cal=9 Yes, what exactly is forcing a check on stores? I have an app on my smartphone that allows you to look at individual items at store. I've found that even when a store is listed as having things in stock, you'll still find empty shelves and employees that loo...

Re: 10/22 front sight removal

I had the same problem with mine. I started out delicate and gentle, and by the end I was just whaling on that thing. Nothin. So I ended up taking it in. Joe's Sporting Goods charged me 20$ for it. At that point, it was worth it. Good luck!

870 Shotgun barrel

So I recently inherited a couple of old shotguns from my uncle. One is a Savage Model 720 (I think) from the 40s. Not sure what I'll do with that one. The other is an 870 Wingmaster with a 30" barrel. The folks at Remington dated the serial number to 1955. I am in love with this shotgun. Its a ...

Re: White Bear Lake Adventures part 2

I applied for and recieved my PTP last September within 5 days (from the St. Paul PD). I don't say that to brag at all. It just seems that the instances of people being delayed in getting their permits is very hit and miss. I think sometimes, it really does come down to manpower and processing time,...

Re: Ruger SR22? Ruger Mark III?

I guess I'm a little late the party on this post, but I thought I'd add my .02$. I was trying to decide between those exact 2 guns last summer. Fortunately, I ended up being able to fire both of them before purchasing. Unfortunately, that didn't help my decision process. In the end I chose the 22/45...

22lr ammo shortage

I know this must be old news for a lot of you, but is there anywhere in the metro area that actually has any 22lr? No luck at any Fleet Farms, Wallyworld, not even Joes. I've haven't been shooting much, and been using old ammo when I do, so I didn't realize the situation. Anyone seen anything lately...

Re: Got lucky at Fleet Farm again!

Nice pickup!
Sounds like Hudson gets alot of good Mosins. I was going to buy one recently, then got an offer on a Ruger 22/45 that I couldn't pass up. Soon, very soon.

Re: Forest Lake Practical Pistol Match

Hey guys. As a traditional rifle and shotgun guy, I'm a newbie to pistol shooting, but I'm very interested in doing some shooting matches. Forgive my ignorance, but for matches such as you were describing in this thread, are there limits to what types of calibers are used? I guess what I mean is, do...
