Last I checked bumpfiring isnt illegal, nor is the rubber band. As long as the trigger needs to be reset between each round there's nothing illegal about it.

Do they expect you to spend the full $800? Last I saw a taurus 1911 was under $500 Where? My dealer in PA. He's a game warden there and sells guns on his off time. In his words "I dont really care if I only make $5 on a gun." He charged me $400 for mine. But I have seen them in store for ...

I used to do it with my mini 14. Its awesome for the cool factor but its way too expensive. If you have an ar you can wrap a rubber band from the front of the mag well to the rear of the trigger to help reset the trigger better. In my experience having a vertical grip makes it a bit easier too.
