Shows back east are an entirely different story. I do miss that :)

SKSs around the Twin Cities

Anyone aware of a store or dealer in the area who has a decent deal on these old rifles? I realize "decent" is highly subjective. All those I've seen at shows are in aftermarket stocks.
Any info is appreciated.
GB,
Santo

Short rant re: Bill's

I too had a very negative experience at that Bill's location: rude, asinine behavior from a range officer who went so far as too use profanity in the presence of my wife. We left. I contacted the management who apologized and asked for details. After the initial exchange, we received passes to shoot...

Re: CPR/First Aid/AED classes

Absolutely interested, especially in an evening or weekend class. My wife may be up for it as well.

Re: Shot my first 1911 ... NICE!!!!

I feel your pain/pleasure. I shot a 1911 (Kimber Stainless II) for the first time late last year. I couldn't get over how natural the gun felt. I now own two. Sis has one. Two brother-in-laws shoot 1911s. Dad is a long time adherent. Figure he'll gift my wife with one soon. Got my eye on the Ruger. ...

Another MNoob question

Hi all,
I understand that MN requires permits to purchase for handguns and "assault rifles". Is there a permit required to purchase other long guns? Where might I find a list of the "assault" list?
Thanks for your help.

Newly moved from out east

Howdy all, Last December I married a native Minnesota farm girl and recently moved to the Twin Cities from Virginia. I'm as new to shooting as I am to the Land of Lakes. Wrench told me about MNGunTalk over at THR forum. I'm poking around for general info, places to shoot, basic training, decent ammo...
