Re: FREE 13-part Emergency Trauma Training course

Just curious if anyone has any feedback on this so far. I'm inclined to check it out, but my "free" time is in short supply, so if isn't any good, I'd rather just skip it entirely. If it's beneficial, I'll plan on making time.

Re: Beretta CX4 or not??!!??

Well, I have a Hi-Point 995TS and a Kia Sportage, so I've got it all wrapped up. If the "need" for a pistol caliber carbine is strictly as a fun gun, the Hi-Point fits the bill. It eats any ammo I feed it, has numerous rails for attaching otherwise impractical toys, and then there's that w...

Re: Caracal recall

I wonder if this was determined before or after they started shipping out the repaired/replacement "C" models to owners who returned them under the previous recall. What a mess.

Re: A cheap carry knife

My current cheap carry is a 'Guidesman' I picked up from Menards for $3.50(on sale).... Should've bought more. Blade is too soft to hold an edge very long, but so far has proven to be durable. Better than the $20 Gerber I had. Just used it to cut through metal banding on a couple crates today. ;) M...

Re: Seeing more and more 223 amd 5.56

Back in January and February me and some friends were buying Wolf and Barnaul .223 from an out of his house FFL not to far from here for .27/round. 5.40/20.. Cheap steel cased stuff. But i heard that some uppers won't shoot that and they have some problems with the coating on their casings heating ...

Re: Caracal recall

Caracal can't seem to catch a break. The interesting thing about the drop-fire issue is that it was reported on guns produced in Germany as well as the UAE. Sounds to me like something was out of spec in the entire manufacturing process. I'm disappointed, because I was hoping to get a "QS"...

Re: Styer Manlicher M-A1

I have a Steyr M9-A1 that I bought at Cabela's around this time last year. At the time, all of the Steyrs at Cabela's had come from distributor PW Arms instead of Steyr America, and reportedly are/were sort of "leftovers" from some scrapped military deal with an unspecified Middle Eastern ...

Re: BDU's?

Have you checked Sportsman's Guide? They frequently run sales on military surplus and military "style" clothes online, and have quite a bit at their outlet store too, although sizes are all over the place.

Re: 2/7 Hearings

If anyone has further details for today's evening session, can you please post it? My car is in the shop this morning, and if I find myself in a position to go this afternoon, I will . . . but the only agenda I've seen says TBA.

Email from Ann Lenczewski (Bloomington) re: hearing agenda

Sorry if this agenda was posted elsewhere, but I didn't find it earlier. I got this in a reply from Ann Lenczewski after emailing her yesterday about my concerns. Thank you for contacting me regarding recent proposed gun control legislation. I agree that these are very important issues to many Minne...

Re: the new panic... hr 241

The only one I can make is the Thursday afternoon/evening session. Any agenda info posted about that yet, or does it depend on the previous sessions?

Bloomington newbie

I'm (obviously) a new forum member from Bloomington, checking out the forum at the suggestion of friends. I've been trying to stick to just a couple calibers, so everything I currently have is either .22 or 9mm: Marlin Model 80, Walther G22, Beretta PX4 Storm sub, Steyr M9-A1 and the mighty (ugly) H...

Re: where to buy 2500+ rounds of 9mm ammo

The Sportsman's Guide outlet store in St. Paul has a pretty wide variety of ammo. If it's listed as in-stock on their website, they'll just send someone to the warehouse to get what you want while you wait. Their prices are pretty competitive (MN sales tax vs. online retailer's shipping costs) and t...
