the best way to do it is if he or she is skittish then start very very very slowly i used to train hunting dogs and we would start with 22 blanks at a distance while the dog was eating and if no negitive reaction then you move up closer and closer works better with a friend to help if you need a han...

it should be fine. ill even shoot it first if it makes you feel better i use a nikon slug hunter with the bdc and love it. dropped a doe at 200 with it when she stepped out of the brush.

hey everyone heard about the forum from a friend so thought i would check it out and say hi. wondering if there is any where to shoot that is over 300 yards or so getting ready for and upcoming elk hunting trip and want to be ready for anything from 5 yard to 400 yards Nate

i have an aunt that owns yellow river game farm up by rice lake wi its only about an hour and 20 min from the cities. if you need a guide with a dog i would be happy to go got a lab that has akc titles on him and loves to hunt. nate if anyone would like to do a group hunt I can make the arangements ...
