Re: remignton R51

My experience with modern Walthers has been good (P99c is my carry gun), but I have to say that the CCP seems to be a solution looking for a problem in Walther's line. Doesn't the PPS already take care of that niche, and arguably do it better? True. I must say that the more I continue to look for a...

remignton R51

Good info. I was getting in line to get one since it does intrigue me. I think I will wait for the 2nd or 3rd gen to look again.
What has my interest now is the Walther CCP and it's "Soft Coil gas-delayed blowback" ... That is until my bubble gets burst on that one too ...

Rochester FFL

Dan at black diamond is who I use. Done a handful of transactions thru him. Great guy but his rate just went up to $30 on my last handgun about a month ago. Has done some good smithing work for me too on old revolvers and long guns.

.22TCM

I had the "Not feeding the last round issue". Dug around to find a post I made out on another forum ... I just had this same issue with a new gun and it did it with both of the included mags, where the last round would not feed proper but rather nose dive and jamb in the bottom of the barr...

.22TCM

You would be more interested in Hearing IT at the range :-). It puts in a good show of breathing fireballs and sonic thunder claps with little recoil ... It's fun. I recently got a TCM and shot a few in the back yard and the wife really likes it. I can't wait for it to warm up and get out to the ran...

The New Guns Of 2014 Thread

TTAGs conclusion for the review was set before they got the gun in their hands. Seemed they were just digging for things to rag on and unfair comparisons. I saw a video of a kid strip it in 14 seconds and reassemble it in 20 something to fully functioning. The kid read the instructions. No slide bit...

Re: Qustion on New 1911 Versions

And that is the difference between the "Series" designators. Basically the Series 70 are the Pre-1983 guns. Series 80 redesigned slightly adding the firing pin block safety. There is also a Series 90 as of current that consist of the 3" barrel and a dual captive recoil spring. Essenti...

Qustion on New 1911 Versions

I am all about the Rock Island (Armscor) 1911, any of their models. They are series 70. May not look the prettiest but they shoot straighter than I can and have great customer device and warranty coverage. Tho I am no expert, relatively new to the platform.

Mills Fleet Farm shooting range

I was up there over this last weekend. Nice new store with a lot of goodies. Didn't check out the range there tho. Busy place for sure. But I was able to leave with my limit of 9mm.

Ammo

You need to sweet talk employees and find out when the delivery truck comes in and when they restock the shelves with it. I scored at Gander this morning a box of 350 Blazer 9mm and 6 boxes of 375 CCI AR Tactical 22... All on sale too. And it is true it is gone right away, I was there a little over ...

Response from Klobuchar

Me too, and mom ... Got the exact same canned response from her. She never read it and never will. Just some staffer assigning a generic response based on the subject. At least I know my local Rep read it. I received a personal response from him within hours of sending it. I know it was personal bec...

Re: 3" 1911 guns dependability questions

Can't speak to 3" but I have a 3.5 " rock island Cs 1911 that runs like a good swiss watch. Ive had zero issues in ~350 rounds. Good to hear. Is that in the .45 cal then I assume? I like the Rock Islands. They may not be the prettiest out of the box, but they work and I could get two of t...
