Re: Presidential candidate hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy on Guns

If we're going to have the 1934 NFA at all, one thing that could be done is return enforcement of the stamp tax to the IRS, which handled it until the BATFE was formed. The IRS is primarily about making sure the money comes in, whereas the BATFE was formed in the wake of late '60s/early '70s politi...

Presidential candidate hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy on Guns

YouTube keeps doing its best feeding me relevant videos even though I told it not to send me targeted ads. Hope you find it worth your attention. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy5oBk5YF54&t=845 At 14:05: I will say it again: we will shut down the FBI and replace it with a police app...

This does sound interesting, but what about cleaning the pinned can?

Re: Supreme Court Revives Biden's Regulation of Ghost Guns

I think you're technically using the No True Scotsman logical fallacy as well. You think wrong, not just on this occasion. Actually, in some cases, it's not your thinking: someone is doing the thinking for you, you just consume the ready-to-eat mental product. You will notice yourself if you pay en...

In case you are not aware, that's the definition of a Fudd.

Also, in another place, you qualified yourself as a Snitch.

Nice combination.

Re: Searching for ear muffs

You can run an amplifier on you phone to have whatever the phone mic pics to be played on the headphones.
(I haven't yet found one with equalizer fitted for range use, but I would think headphones design would be limiting played sound intensity.)

Re: Private Transfer Form

Of course, nobody ever bothers with the Report of Transfer, because it's essentially the same process as getting Permit to Purchase, and the latter is easier on the seller. FFLs,, rather than holding on to the gun while waiting for the form to be returned, will usually tell you to get a Permit to P...

Re: Article on history of Congressman Dingell and the NRA

There's over 800 comments on the New York Times website about the article. I can't read the comments unless I do some registering with the NYT and I'm not going to do that. If anybody and the time and the resources I'd be interested in the tone of the comments about the article. If you (sufficientl...

Re: California Father Who Opened Fire on Armed Attacker: ‘It Was

You do realize that the constitution can be amended, right? We are allowed to have guns as long as the second amendment isn’t overturned. We should work to prevent that from happening of course, but your “right” is given to you by the people not taking it away. It’s literally called the second amen...

Robert F. Kennedy on Gun Control

Yesterday YouTube fed me a video which, I think, aligns with this forum interest. 24:52 ...and that's why I don't take the easy, you know, democratic answer on gun control, because it hasn't worked so far. It just hasn't worked. It's just divided us. We all but once the thing we have in common, we a...

Re: Poll: Curbing gun violence is more import than gun rights

And if a pollster has a history of failing to accurately do their jobs, people will stop buying their products and instead contact a competitor that has a better track record to ensure their dollars are being spent wisely. Pollsters have a huge free market incentive to get the right answer, or they...
