Re: MN Gun Owners Caucus files suit against the State Fair

First yeah (other than last year) in my life I won’t be going. Lack of ability to carry being high on the list of reasons why.

I also bought a boat. Barring any tragic boating accidents, I’ll plan to spend my free time out on a lake instead of at the Great Minnesota Sweat Together.

Re: Mpls plans to dismantle police threatened by rank and file

Maybe try NOT charging them with murder for doing what you trained them to do. More money for training? Sure. We can always use better tools no matter who we are or what job we are doing. But police have a very difficult job and deal with the absolute worst humanity has to offer. Defunding the polic...

Re: How Guns Twist the Logic of Self-Defense Laws

It seems to me a lot of people were in the Minneapolis riots protecting businesses with AR-15’s in the same fashion Kyle was. Only difference was nobody attacked the people in Minneapolis so no one was shot and it didn’t make the news. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk John Rieple, owner of Cadill...

Re: So, I won a (non-violent) felon in possession case...

they published the case (meaning it sets precedent) wondering if you could opine about this a little bit more since a lot of people around here like to take trial court findings and unpublished opinions as the "law of the land" - can you distinguish how much "binding" precedent ...

Re: Battle belts and holsters

I am a 3gunner and I had to google what a battle belt is, so I think you know where I would land...CR Speed or Safariland ELS if you have the cash (keep in mind all the attachments are more $$$ too) I really like my Safariland ALS holster. Very easy to draw, very easy to retain. I don't like the ide...

Re: anyone watch CSI this week?

Just wait until they start finding murderers in 30 seconds because of micro stamping on these shows. Public support for microstamping will go through the roof!

Re: POLL: how much training have you had?

I don't know if gamer training counts so I am not voting not wanting to mess up your results.

Unlike mass shootings, the media is aware of the Werther Effect in suicidal behavior and tends to not publicize them.

Re: My hunting partner is getting old

Cobb, That is really cool. You should sell them. I would buy one for my 8 year old Golden. She was never the hunting dog I hoped, but her low energy is great for the small children I have. She barely had the energy to jump into the back of our SUV when she was 3, and now that she is 8 she needs a lo...

Re: simple shotgun question

Thank poachers. I'll go with this, since the only other choice offered is denial. sitting around and transfering chambered are very different than having a loaded magazine with a block inbetween it and the chamber and firing pin. [don't even have kids but I won't even chamber at home, safeties are ...

Re: Doctor pulls his gun and exchanges fire with patient

Color me impressed. I wouldn't think that a hospital they banned guns would actually stick up for someone carrying in this situation. I wonder if he had permission from the administration.

Re: Doctor pulls his gun and exchanges fire with patient

Sure am glad MN posts don't have force of law. Plenty of clinics and hospitals around here have magic signs but no door guards or metal detectors. I suppose he still might lose his job, depending on the contract he signed, the employment terms, and medical staff regulations. He will lose his job be...

Better to lose your job than your life. My heart goes out to the family of the caseworker that was killed.
