Re: Question for Utah Instructors

Thanks, everyone for the info! Looks like AZ will get most states people have been asking for and carries no additional class requirements.

According to Handgunlaw.us, Nevada does not recognize Arizona permits.

Question for Utah Instructors

Good morning everyone.

I have been thinking about becoming an instructor for Utah. Is there anyone local who does instructor training or do I have to go to Utah to get it?

Re: CCW Friendly Winter Coat

I was thinking something that would allow me to leave my handgun in its holster on my hip so that I wouldn't have to move it around when putting on/taking off my jacket. I thought about just throwing my LCP in my coat pocket and then having my normal carry gun on my hip, but then I have to worry abo...

CCW Friendly Winter Coat

Good morning everyone. I'm in the market for a new winter jacket. I was thinking this weekend it would be nice to have a winter jacket that was a little more convenient when carrying; I'm thinking maybe a zippered side or a breakaway side for access to holster, a couple inside pockets for either bac...

Re: Glock 30sf vs Springfield XDM 3.8" .45 compact

I carry a 30sf and love it. Not too big, not too small. Still feels "full" in my hand, but never had a problem printing (Im not a very big guy either, 5'10" 170#). Carrying IWB is virtually disappears. I like it. I even used it in USPSA for a season with pretty good results, well for ...

Re: The new Ruger SR1911CMD

Very interesting. I have a LCP and really like it. It is nice to just throw in a pocket in the summer time when carrying the Glock is not wanted. The only bad thing is the HORRIBLE trigger and the sights suck. Surprisingly it is really accurate, but I would much rather having some 3 dot night sights...

Re: Firearms business checking account denied

After 48 hours since last speaking with the bank, I called to see where the status of setting up a meeting with the branch manager and auditor was at. Evidently the branch manager has been in non-stop conference calls since Monday and the rep I have been working with hasn't been able to talk to the...

Re: Firearms business checking account denied

I use Wells Fargo for all my business stuff, of course I work for them full time so maybe that has something to do with it. But when I went up to setup the business stuff they never even questioned me other than to get more information about training.

Advanced Training in California

Not sure if this is where I should put this, but since it is training related... I have to go to California in March to spend a week with the in-laws. I am hoping there is some sort of advanced handgun training solution out there to make this trip a little more enjoyable. I know California's handgun...

Oh yeah.

I love the look and feel of the 625, but I am looking for something in .38/.357.

So far I like the looks of the SP101 in 4". The GP100 looks huge. I will have to make a stop this week and put some in my hands. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Looking to get a revolver

I'm looking to get my first revolver (not my first handgun). Never had one, always wanted one. I'll never carry it, but would like to have one to shoot on occasion. Would be shot by various people (men, women, tall, short, big, small, etc.). Not looking for something like a Bodyguard or LCR. Any sug...

Let's talk physics!

Ok, help me to understand because according to what I am reading I am way off: http://greent.com/40Page/ammo/40/180gr.htm I read this article the other day and it has me questioning the logic. In my mind, if you have a higher velocity, but with a lower weight bullet you would have a higher chance of...

RCBS Pro2000 Powder Measure question

Anyone have a RCBS Pro2000? It has a micrometer built in to measure the powder. I don't understand how to use the micrometer to measure. What is the unit of measurement on the micrometer? Obviously it isn't per grain. The book says 6.8 grains of powder, I run the micrometer out to 6.8 and dump it in...
