Problem with Xtreme bulletz

Ordered two boxes of 500 .45ACP bullets from Xtreme, one hollowpoint, one round nose, both 230gr copper coated. Once used range brass. Had the nephews over to practice on a 20 year-old Hornady, well-maintained progressive press, . They aren't kids; both are in their 30s and are now wanting to learn ...

Re: 300 Black out owners! Alert!

Known issue with <150gr bullets. I painted the bottom of all my 300BLK mags orange, or have upgraded to the 300BLK dedicated mags from Magpul. Yep! I painted an 2" OD green stripe on the bottom of the my 300BLK Magpuls ('cuz tactical) to avoid loading 300BLK into my .223. Still scary to con...

Re: Possible DNR Grant Funding Loss

We sure built a nice long gun and pistol range with great berms and fencing at the LeRoy Rod and Gun Club in the early 2000's. Great grant program.

Re: June 6, 1944

XD Ed: I was surprised that you knew a Marine who followed a bulldozer ashore to clear a path through the bodies. Sounds like a typical Marine's BS. No Marines were involved in the Invasion of Normandy. And, while 1,465 US soldiers died on Omaha and Utah beaches, there would never have been a need t...

Re: What height for my reloading bench?

Personally, I like to be at stool height. If you browse the 18 some odd pages of pictures of reloading benches in this section, you will get an idea of how many people set up their bench. I wouldn't feel right sitting in a easy chair reloading, but it appears some people do.

Re: Respectfully, I do not want 'Constitutional Carry' in MN :)

Gunsmith: Please back off the notion that AZ is "the wild west" in comparison to Minnesota. You can drop the population of two complete Twin Cities into the Phoenix area with plenty of people left over. Outstate is not heavily populated.......in either state. When I drive around the "...

Re: Australian police confiscate 328 guns

Hang all three. Obviously terrorists waiting for the right time to overthrow the penal colony down under.

Re: Creeping towards sanity

No law in Minnesota against it. Don't ask, don't tell. It is happening all over in rural Minnesota schools. 870s & ARs.

Re: 2 teens killed after allegedly breaking into home;

Meshbesher will undoubtedly make this case very interesting. If he can get his client's statements to the police in the basement of his house (and prior to the Miranda reading) thrown out, and if he can get the alleged recording of the event thrown out, this guy just might walk. Meshbesher will make...

Re: Who's up for a challenge?

Well, I looked at the video to the one minute mark and saw the scope. Officially LAME in my opinion. Really? While I can see that dry firing through a scope could be a good training aid, shooting at a target 25 yards away with a scope and then being proud enough of your efforts to record your score ...

Re: Need help.

Bullwinkles are getting pretty scarce in NE Minnesota. The herd's numbers are plummeting for a variety of reasons. I think it is very cool your uncle has several around his property, and I hope you get to see one in the wild. However, "Ranger Rick" (DNR) and most of the Arrowhead's populat...

Re: Who's up for a challenge?

Uh, I don't think this challenge even contemplates anyone using a scope at 25 yards. Think rifleman as in The Green Mountain Boys or Sargent York, Daniel Boone or Davey Crockett. C'mon guys.....

Re: What are you reloading today.

Mentored my nephew (26) today with his first steps to reloading. Started from scratch, had him set up the progressive with two stations, powder and bullet seating. It took him about 20 minutes on the balance scale to get 5.0 gr of 700x to drop, but he hung in there. I had to show him that breathing ...
