Re: Accurate #5 not so accurate with 115gr?

I didn't consider the crimp in the equation and you might be onto something. I did do a slight change up from the HP-38 and PP loads but thought I got the crimp back to where it should have been. Maybe that's enough to cause the wierdness In Accuracy. I do have a crono but didn't take it with to the...

Accurate #5 not so accurate with 115gr?

I've been trying various loads in 115gr 9mm FMJ using Accurate #5 and just don't seem to be getting any satisfying results. The loads seem to have cycling issues at the low end, and weird fliers between middle and higher ends. The accuracy is all over the place with larger than normal groups on slow...

Re: Stiff springs?

Thanks Lumberzach

Gen4 and no issues with factory ammo. It just doesn't seem to like light loads which is interesting because most glock owners say they'll eat just about anything.

Stiff springs?

No, I'm not talking about my undercarriage but rather my somewhat new G19. I was working up several test loads for 9mm using AA#5 and Power Pistol using REM 115gr FMJ (hollow base) and random brass, and noticed that almost all of the lighter loads below mid-range in the books wouldn't cycle properly...

Re: G19 Grip Reduction

Small hands, short trigger reach. Simple enough answer?
The Gen4 small is just a hair on the long side which for those with 'normal' sized hands can rarely understand. An 1/8th inch less would make a huge difference in proper finger placement on the trigger.

G19 Grip Reduction

Any Glock owners out there with grip reductions? Just curious where you sent the gun to get the reduction and how happy you are with the results?

Any local smiths that do a decent job here in MN?

Thanks to "OldMan"

I wanted to send a hearty 'Thank You' to OldmanFCSA who, very kindly, introduced me the wise ways of reloading yesterday. Oldman is not only an incredibly experienced reloader and shooter (of really big guns), but also a heck of a nice guy. His teaching style is excellent and he dwells on the import...

Re: AAR for John Farnam's Defensive Pistol Course - August 2013

Farnam course AAR - Part III It’s my turn to add to some to the well placed comments above. I too attended last weekend’s class and will echo the comments stated above (both good and constructive). With that being said let me first state that any training is valuable training and regardless of the s...

Re: RON AVERY ADVANCED REACTIVE HANDGUN SKILLS COURSE NOV. 1-3

Dang, Dang, Dang! I'll be in Italy during this weekend. Hmm, maybe I can convince the significant other that we need to postpone the trip. ;-)
This will be a great course and wish I could be there.

Apple Valley

Goalimn - any insight on how to get one's name on the DCGC wait list? I've been trying now for a couple of years and it seems that it's always closed. The website now says check back in 2014 (sigh). Open to suggestions and am in the same desire camp as the OP on the thread.
