Re: A question about buying in Wisconsin.

That must be a fairly new policy? I did exactly what you are trying to do for a shotgun from that same WM about 3 years ago and did so without a problem.

Re: Recoil springs-3 Part Question

You prompted me to walk downstairs and look at my own and yes, without a magazine in and if you hit with a fair bit of steam it will unlock the slide. It depends on the angle of the hit but it did not take all that much force to release it without a magazine. Compare it to the G34 I had out just to ...

Re: Recoil springs-3 Part Question

I would be hard pressed to believe that the recoil spring replacement will change what you're experiencing as mentioned. I've run the stock 18lb all the way down to an 11lb (13/15 also) in mine and not had it happen without purposefully trying by slamming the mag home. I ordered mine online but did ...

Re: Which AR? Olympic or Alex Pro?

I can't speak to the Olympic but my APF 16" has been trouble free and shoots well IMO. It's a .75MOA rifle with coyote rounds (55gr ballistic tip) and not a lot better with match ammo. Good enough for what it is and it's price. I shot it stock one time before it got a Geissele but the trigger w...

Re: Winter Rifle Range

There is a caveat at Rainbow. The only way to shoot 200-300 is to put up a barricade across the road that goes down to the other ranges, including the 100 yard. If anyone wants to shoot at the 100 or any other range downwind from the 200-300 (they are in line with each other and the 100) you will h...

Re: AR-triggers

I don't think that I've ever heard anyone that bought a Geissele say to themselves afterwards, gosh I wish I wouldn't have done that. Both of mine have Geissele and I cant think of a single reason to mess around with anything else.

Re: Looking to buy 1st AR15.

keep it closer to home with an APF Econo Carbine that comes with a Vortex red dot for under $800

I have this same rifle and it's been flawless. It hasn't been stock for some time but it hasn't run afoul with anything I've run in it yet. It'll shoot well under 1MOA with the good ammo.

Re: hard to find ak pistol grip in the metro

DKMAGS? They usually have a decent selection of MAGPUL parts. Maybe worth a call if you haven't already.

Re: AR triggers

If you already have the modified triggers you list I can't see a RR NM being much of an upgrade. As mentioned above it's very difficult to discount Geissele other than the price but IMO they are worth their asking price. I'm currently running the High Speed NM in my F T/R rifle and could not imagine...

Re: cantilevered AR scope rings

It really comes down to eye relief and what your eyes require to get it correct with that particular optic. It will change depending on the position you intend to shoot in, prone will very likely require the optics be mounted further forward than bench shooting. LOP on your stock will also affect wh...

Re: Remington V3

Been keeping an eye out for one myself with no luck. Stopped into Cabelas and they have it in their system but not a single one in inventory store wide. Perhaps a 16 release model?

FOUND...Close

Looking to see if anyone has an old 1" cant. base for an AR platform that they'd like to part with? Don't need quick detach or additional MOA built in. A basic base/mount for AR is sufficient for this application.

Thanks
