I have a 1911 I am rebuilding, I could use these. Ill send you a PM when all my parts arrive so I don't have them too long, if someone else needs them.

I have a Glock 30, carry it daily. Never had a problem printing etc, but I also used to carry a XD-SC9.

I could conceal the XD a little better but, both are on the bigger size of small carry options.

I also carry a 5 inch 1911 and can conceal that as good as any.

The 30$ off does work.. To your house brand new for 375$.

Well I just bought a 10-8 sight to replace the adjustable sights, and I agree that I think I'll just leave the rest be for now.

If anything I'll send it to SA for some custom work down the road.

I hear ya there, no competition shooting with my 1911's. I just don't have the time.

I'm not sure I'd replace the fire controls except for maybe a good polish.

I was thinking extractor, firing pin, guide rod, springs, etc.

Maybe I'll just be happy with what I got, and don't fix what ain't broke...

Looked through as many optics as I could and I decided to go with the Aimpoint Pro after all. Bought it at Midway USA for 375.00 shipped. Best deal I could find, most LGS wanted around $4...

Well I'd like to stay under $500. So this Aimpoint Pro seems like the one I'll try. It's going on my M4 so it will be for target, some competitive shooting, and home defense. Mostly target shooting. It will be my first try at a red dot, always been a Leupold scope guy. I've found a few sites already...
