If you get the hand guard before the gas block, make sure you get a gas block that will fit under your hand guard (if your hand guard would be long enough to cover it) this would probably only be an issue if you got a heavy or bull barrel and a pretty slim hand guard. Thanks for the response. I found a low pro Yankee Hill Machine clamp on gas block that works great. I actually got the 15" MI hand guard today and just finished assembling the upper about 30 minutes ago. Things went well and I cant wait to head out with my dad and shoot it. Feels pretty dang go...
