Re: Entry Level Gun Safe @ Costco

Here is food for thought. A lock only keeps an honest person honest. A thief will take it weather its locked or not. A safe be it a 500 costco special or a 5000 fort knox is just gonna slow a thief down. If they really want it, they are gonna take it. Nothing you can do about it. With the exception...

Re: Entry Level Gun Safe @ Costco

A vary good idea and a trick I have used in the past. Down side, some how kids can find any think. But yes the under the floorboard trick is always a good one Yep, had my father had guns when I was a young boy, the only thing that would have kept me from finding them and getting at them would have ...

It would be unusual to see a "smooth return" to "sanity". Prices "overshot" on the upside and I think they will to do the same on the way down.

Re: Is the panic over?

Can't wait till we reach the phase of the cycle in which sellers and distributors panic. Unless there will be an ammo tax or some other legistlation that interferes with free markets, this will happen. Panic over what? Pay attention. Any and all products that people overpay for while they are in sh...

Re: Entry Level Gun Safe @ Costco

Dumb question:
If a burglar brings a heavy duty angle grinder and cutting disks, what will a RSC costing $1500 do that a $500 RSC won't do other than take the burglar maybe a few more minutes longer to make a hole large enough to remove the guns? And of course cost $1000 more to replace.

Re: Another dummycrat...

People who make decisons that affect others should really be required to pass at least some "bare minimum proficiency test" on the subject matter. Who is going to pay for it? We know who's paying for the fact that we don't do it. How do we know that they won't be biased against blacks, wom...

Re: Is the panic over?

As soon as the profit margin for resellers goes down enough that they can't make a guaranteed profit after taxes, gasoline, time&effort, gunbroker fees, etc. availability for the average person should improve. Yet another wallyworld guy told me that the same 3-4 guys are there almost every time ...

Re: letter passed on about ammunition

I call BS. I read FFs flyer every week and .22 and .223 have not been on sale in the last 3 months. Maybe you found some at one point in stock but it has not been in their flyer. I dont' know if they were in the flyer. I was just guessing that the reason why they had ammo sales during the last 3 mo...

That is so ridiculous even for them that I hope it's a misprint. I hope that people will remember their "sales" after the prices implode.

Re: letter passed on about ammunition

Any publicly owned company (has shares of stock outstanding) intentionally limiting their profits would open themselves up for lawsuits from investors. Obama, in spite of possibly looking like the devil, is not hoarding your 22LR. Once supply catches up with demand, ammo will go on sale. Edit: Acuta...

Re: .22 Ammo Production Video

Okay... Now build a couple dozen more factories. Why would any business invest millions and millions in permanent facilities and equipment to meet a temporary spike in demand? Before you'll know it, things will be exactly the way they were: you will see bricks of 22LR sitting on store shelves at re...
