Re: Felons and Firearms

Not shame on you for asking, but, respectfully, the question was asked and answered. The best advice was to consult an attorney. Regardless of any opinions you'd get her or elsewhere, the interwebs are only as smart as the lowest life form that can type and spell incorrectly. It truly is a legal que...

Re: Springfield XD-S recall

It was a struggle with the cold, wind and snow, but got a camparison shoot done today on two 45 XDs's, one pre-fix and one post fix. The pre-fix gun has approx 2 boxes through it, the post-fix gun had 6 boxes through it before and 2 after the fix. Tried to do a blind comparison. Knowing my own seria...

Re: which show to attend??

Last year at Anoka there was a lot of junk/stuff and not as many guns. It was more like a flea market leaning towards guns. And it's still the same. Just got back. LOTS of knives, used holsters, one AR table, smattering of overpriced ammo. Saw a lot of the same faces and items in Brooklyn Park a co...

Re: Springfield XD-S recall

Armedwalleye said he wanted to compare his with 1 that hadn't been sent in but I will send mine in. Jeffo, The first attempt to arrange it failed. I will try again to arrange a comparison shoot in the next 2 days. And the second range attempt failed. I shoot outdoors all year round, but the owner o...

Re: accident at Bill's North???

I recollect a self inflicted discharge somewhere some 6 months ago but he said this was specifically different. Again,, I called bs. Having seen nothing on the news ...

Re: Springfield XD-S recall

As a followup range report, just sent a couple boxes downrange, and it does get better. Shot a box and walked away for a while, then came back to it. The trigger seemed less gritty and crisper the second box, and by the end of the second box was breaking nice and crisp like it used to, and smoother ...

Re: Springfield XD-S recall

Dry fired seems a little rough but I didn't have mega rounds thru the gun before I sent it. I'm expecting to run it this weekend.but anticipate based on other comments that regardless of what I have, it'll improved e with .ore rounds sent downrange.

Re: shell latch in 870

For what you'd get for it, and for what you'd have to look at re: similar replacement 870's,(EXPRESS-YUK) or you just hate the thing, I'd fix it. and give it to your kids when you go, so they can give it to their kids. It'll last forever. Find a competent smith, can't be over $100 to fix it, and the...
