Stockpiling, legitimate concern?

So I've become a hoarder. I know I am far less of a hoarder than some, but I don't even want to go out and shoot. The current political climate has me concerned to the point that I'm buying things that I dont need (large capacity magazines, far too much ammo, starting to think about another AR). I'v...

Re: Cheaper then dirt

Also Midway is out of every type of ammo I need ....maybe I have to check multiple times a day ??? Just like anywhere else at the moment. People are constantly scanning the online ammo resellers and things are selling out fast. slickguns.com seems to be a decent place to get a heads up on stock ava...

Re: Cheaper then dirt

CTD has been dramatically increasing their prices on everything. Talk about a name that doesn't live up to it's meaning. They have consistently been higher priced on all ammo and magazines since the beginning of the year. I saw 30 round pmags that were going for $11-12 pre-hysteria up on CTD for $99...

Re: Disgusted with ammo prices and availability

I know nothing about reloading, can someone point me in the direction of a good site that I can look at? How about range use, is it acceptable?

Disgusted with ammo prices and availability

I live out in the middle of gods country, nowhere near any B&M retailers who supply ammo. When I do go, I try and pair it up with grocery shopping (walmart), and then hit up some gun shops on the way home. It costs me roughly $7+ in gas to get to town and back. I can't afford to drive all over h...

Re: Right holster for home use

I don't plan to carry openly, I want it to be as discreet as possible. My 1911 may end up just being my home protection firearm. I do have a Beretta Nano as well, even though it's my spouses, she still hasn't shot it or the G17 or 1911, so so she may turn her nose up to the Nano completely, that wou...

Re: Right holster for home use

I was thinking a vest might be okay, but I've never worn one, so that will have to be considered for comfort.

Re: Right holster for home use

That's the thing, if it's something that would serve me down the road once I have my carry permit, even more the better. Right now my guns are in the safe as I type this. That's not the comfort level that I want. It might be spendy, but if it give me a sense of security, it's worth the money. I live...

If so...it seems to be common to carry in a similar manner for the most part. A shoulder holster at home and belt on the go might get confusing.

Yes, that's the plan. I can not carry in my work, so the gun will be left in my vehicle while I am at work.

Right holster for home use

I went out to Arnzen arms tonight to look at their holsters. I need something to wear around the house after work (I don't have carry permit), but I want to have my gun on me while I am in my home. I am fairly mobile at home, sit on the couch and in my computer chair which has arm rests. I am thinki...

Re: First time

Looks good for a first outing! You'll get better as you practice. Try different ammo out, see if there are particular brands/weights that give you tighter groups.

I'm still practicing myself. My first outing was a little across the board because the adrenaline was pumping.

Re: the new panic... hr 241

My letter to my representative - Dear Representative , I am writing you today on a matter of great importance to me. As a voter, law abiding citizen, and concerned member of society. Violence by firearms in this country is a grave concern of mine, which is why I personally own several firearms. I ha...

Re: Permit to Purchase

I'm going to take mine through Joe Penaz with Plane Cents, he was recommended by a close friend and also Cabin Fever out in Victoria. I believe he also has good deals on couples, so my spouse can get hers for a minimal cost more.
