I grabbed a Kimber mag but I won't have anytime soon to shoot some WWB to see if it is an ammo issue. I need more mags either way so extra mags are already on my list.

I'd be skeptical about Herter's ammo, but these things are usually magazine issues. Sounds like the round that jams pops up too high and then hits the top edge of the chamber instead of going into it. The magazine lips may be a little too wide and can possibly be tightened up slightly. Otherwise......
