Re: Article in the MN Daily

When I was at the U. in the late 70's and early 80's, I carried a pistol in my backpack. Almost every day I would shoot at the range in the basement under the Armory. How times have changed...

Re: Who makes/sells the best 1911 mags?

I'm a long time fan of the 1911 but I've never owned one, just shot tons of them. I just put a Kimber Custom 2 on layaway and now want to start searching for magazines. I have heard that Wilson and Chip McCormack make some really good 1911 mags, but are there any others? Kinda hurts lookin at Wilso...

Re: The term, "Assault Rifle"

Actually the term originated with the Germans towards the end of WWII. "Sturmgewehr" means assault rifle.

Re: DNC seeks to ban private sales/re-instate assault weapon ban

Spend your time worrying about the future of the supreme court. That is where the real dander lies. The House isn't about to pass any strong anti-gun laws, as they are all up for reelection next year.

WTS: .45 ACP Brass & .223 Brass

Oh the wonders of the things one can find in my garage. As I am planning a move, pleasantly surprised was I to find a bunch of brass, both .45 ACP and .223. About 20 lbs of each. I am certainly not going to count this stuff, and I do not reload, so am hoping that one of you gentle folks will have an...

Re: Carry at the mall.

I was trying to implement change in my company and said the squeaky wheel thing to my boss...he replied, "and sometimes the squeaky wheel is replaced," At least he didn't say the squeaky wheel gets greased. The scariest one I have heard was, "Yeah - that'll look great on a re...

Re: wanted to borrow a sig sight adjustment tool

From personal experience, you are going to find it high nigh impossible to move the rear site on a Sig with a simple site adjustment tool. Best to take it to a gunsmith, where he can put in the chocks and add some real pressure to the slide. My master gunsmith buddy (doesn't take external work...) t...
