Re: George Zimmerman - Florida Unarmed Teen Shooting

An American may also hold two American passports, but the second one is effectively a backup and only good for a limited number of years (2 years, IIRC). I worked with a travel department for a while and was exposed to these situations. The secondary, limited passport was common for folks seeking a...

Re: George Zimmerman - Florida Unarmed Teen Shooting

The second bond hearing was today. Bail is granted but the judge's order is absolutely scathing . http://www.scribd.com/doc/99210750/Zimmerman-Bail Although there is no record of flight to avoid prosecution, this Court finds that the circumstances indicate that the Defendant was preparing to flee to...

Re: Brass processing suggestion

"Brass Bright Dips" are awesome if you don't mind tracking down an industrial chemical designed to do this sort of thing.

Re: 300yds range

Caribou in Le Sueur has a 375 yard range. The website claims it goes out to 500yards now but I haven't seen it with my own eyes.
$100 per year + $5 per gun per day
or
$20 for the day and 1 gun + $5 for each extra gun

Most of the times I've been there the range is empty.

Re: Remington Green box over pressure

Sam, Sorry to say - several companies are buying the steel cased ammo from pre-Soviet countries and are re-labeling it now under their original names. That's all Wolf is. They buy ammo from a bunch of different sources, slap their label on it and sell it in America. There are pretty big differences...

Re: 12 gauge fired with no barrel

http://www.alliantpowder.com/getting_started/safety/storage_handling.aspx I'm not sure an ammo can has the structural rigidity to make a very large boom. You linked safety recommendations for smokeless powder. Smokeless powder is flameable. Black powder is an explosive . They are very different sub...

Re: 12 gauge fired with no barrel

Take a spoon full (50gr or so) and put it on something that won't burn - then place that in your driveway or back yard and use a 18" match or similar to light it. Highly uneventful, very consistent burn - kinda like a road flare. Yawn... You only get the "bang" when you contain it so...

This isn't exactly a high quality spotting scope but if you're looking to spot .22 at 100 yards on the cheap it works fine.
