Re: Sheriff Bellows (Dakota County) not running for reelection

Dakota County profited about $100,000 last year, even after paying for 2 full time staff members to process about 5-6 permits a day.

Bellows has shown no interested in fairly reducing his permit fees, and charging "actual costs" as required by statutes.

Re: Write your Minneapolis ciy councilman

The Mpls city council can pass any anti-gun ordinance it wants. It will be null and void because of the state's preemption law. This was their annual wish list to the MNLEG. Note the want to kill preemption. https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/1560443_557648140998233_...

Re: Churchill Quote

Keep in mind, we have supporters on the left. In Minnesota, a pro-second amendment position is not unique to just the Republican party. We would not have the Minnesota Citizens Personal Protection Act without many MANY votes from DFL legislators. b 2003 Senate: http://i.imgur.com/ykWS5D...

Re: Mitch Berg: The Next Useless Wave of Gun Control in MN

I'll just point out for the hunters and trap shooters out there that the last 3 school shootings were ALL committed using a S-H-O-T-G-U-N. The last shooter's gun had 3 rounds. That's only one shot more that a $20,000 o/u Perazzi. No gun owners is safe anymore. They never were. They will always chip...

Re: HF 2007 introduced, MN recognition of North Dakota permits

GOCRA did not have a hand in writing this. It was brought to my attention during a recent meeting with the NRA's MN Lobbyist. The NRA in ND has a high desire to have reciprocity with MN. They planned on this to try to force the hand. I worked with the NRA to develop a better strategy for getting ND ...

No worries! The Strib routinely avoids GOCRA leadership, hoping to get a juicy soundbyte from a pro-gun nutjob.

Re: Going to the Capitol Security Committee tomorrow?

Steve Swenson is desperate to be relevant to the committee. He previously wrote a recommendation to ban all guns from capitol. Then when that didn't work, he supported lock-boxes for the committee When that didn't work, not hes trying to mandate holsters. Oh, and his "Center"? One employee...

Re: Ruger 10/22 Slide Fire Kit

Careful with those in MN. A finicky prosecutor may try to label it a "trigger activator" 609.67 1 (d) "Trigger activator" means a removable manual or power driven trigger activating device constructed and designed so that, when attached to a firearm, the rate at which the trigger...

Re: MN Gun Owners PAC: Don't tell me to vote for a Dem Please :)

I have no stake in the PAC at all, but the PAC is single issue. If there is a Gun-Apathetic RINO going up against a Pro-Gun DEM, I would expect them to endorse the Dem. I also don't think Mark or Bryan would tell you who to vote for, only give you the information on the strongest candidate for your ...

Carlbom won't be a figurehead. He will pull the strings from afar, dropping loads of cash.

Universal registration is in his sights this year. He knows how to blast a concise message.
