Re: Bushmaster Carbon 15 problem

They're screwed on with a single recessed flat head allen screw at the front of the rail, there's no gluing involved. The back of the "rail" lifts easily with a fingernail. Mine moves around a little too. It's not from the heat, a single mounting screw is far from ideal. "Composite&qu...

Re: Banned FFL Handguns Transfer/Sat Night Specials

Plastic does not become a true liquid, no. It's non-Newtonian. "Polymer" is a HUGELY over-used term. No one says "yeah, I work in polymer injection molding". I've been doing this since 1982, it's just plastic. Most of these gun parts are 'glass-filled nylon of one kind or another...

Re: Lets see your latest range targets

I just drew mine this time. The initials are "obviously" of a guy I used to work with, Brandon Olson. Not that I dislike him, but, well......

LCP, ~20 yards. I missed a couple of times. The misses must have been the result of some pent up animosity at the current affairs of the gov't.

Re: Fleet Farm in lakeville had bulk packs of 22 yesterday

Hudson had both kinds as well around 4:00. Wife was able to buy one of each about 4:15. A manager was there in the aisle directing traffic a little while before that when a friend got there. While she was picking up a pair, a different manager was also getting one of each and a couple of employees w...

Re: Cops in schools

Well, there will be no Sandy Hooks in St. Croix County!! That's actually very comforting. Possibly not in Hudson but you missed 90% of the county. New Richmond, Somerset, St Croix Central (Hammond and Roberts), Baldwin-Woodville, River Falls and Glenwood City all have separate school districts not ...

Re: What'd you take deer hunting this year?

LOTS of them over here between Hudson and Menomonie, as many if not more than in recent years. My cameras are loaded up. Wife hit a doe last week headed to work in Hudson in the AM, sees deer almost every day. 6 different bucks on our 2 cameras 50 yards apart in the last 2 weeks, plenty of does as w...

Re: Winchester Model 100 .308

I turned to youtube and weeded out the red neck versions with way-too-much talking over the actual work. I didn't save any links to the better ones.
Hardest part was getting it all back together with the new firing pin while keeping it oriented correctly the first time.

Re: Winchester Model 100 .308

I did this exact thing about 15 months ago, I inherited one as well. Call that number, he asks for the serial number, he looks it up and tells you instantly what the status is. Tear it down and send in the old firing pin, they'll send you the replacement when they get the old one. It was about 2 wee...

Re: Wal-Mart Ammo finder website realtime

It's been saying that Hudson has .22 for days now. But Hudson does not when I go ask.
Checked it against Menomonie as well for a couple of things last week. Wrong again.

So the 1K boxes from this AM, does yours show up as "backordered" now? Mine didn't earlier and now it does. :x

Re: Coburn BG Check Proposal

But I don't think that will make anymore of a difference then checking to see a ptp/ptc. Different scenario completely but along similar lines with what you wrote, now and locally - what if one of us from WI want to private party buy from one of you in MN? There is no PTP or PTC over here obviously...
