Re: Autopsy of a Rifle: DPMS Oracle

If the upper and lower fit without slop and all the components fit properly there is no difference between a low end DPMS and some high dollar rifle. Barrel and BCG are the 2 really critical items. Dust cover doesn't do much unless you are crawling in a jungle or desert. FA is another item I can liv...

Re: Autopsy of a Rifle: DPMS Oracle

DPMS stock trigger, I started with a DPMS lower that was a pull from a new rifle. I have a replacement ordered but not here yet. Have a slide fire trigger coming, 3.5 pound pull, very very smooth. Fine your snob rifle is better than my hand built AR I spent $600 on... I only used top shelf component...

Re: Autopsy of a Rifle: DPMS Oracle

Fine your snob rifle is better than my hand built AR I spent $600 on... I only used top shelf components where they count the most, barrel and BCG... rest is just a wrapper and contributes little to failures.

Re: Case condtion 5.56

Some places were selling bulk pack 223 too. Loose packed 1k rounds to a box. They pick up dents.

Re: Stainless Steel Knives

In my experience stainless does not hold an edge as well, and is harder to use a steel on and touch up an edge.

Re: OBAMA TO CIRCUMVENT CONGRESS WITH ‘GAG ORDER’ ON FIREARM COV

The liberal media controlled by a select few who support socialism and the downfall of the USA? They are in on it!

hornswaggle wrote:I wonder when the liberal biased media will catch on that their favorite elected official who so openly tries to repeal the 2nd amendment is also attacking their prized 1st amendment.

Re: Suppressors and other gun rights - the final push!

Protect MN is a joke. They ban anyone pro gun on their facebook page. They don't want a discussion, they are like a 5 year old stomping his foot wanting things his way.

Re: Suppressor, Second Amendment bills hearing scheduled!

Now that we fired the town cop the sheriff is taking care of all permits etc. And he is one of the ones who signed the petition saying he would not enforce any federal gun grabs so getting him to sign off is super easy. Last time I renewed my PTP the town cop delayed me 6 months for no reason. Went ...

If he vetoes we should have a recall petition started and waiting to be used!

Re: New .223 Rifle

Savage Axis series use a plastic stock. I have no issues with mine, makes for a very lightweight rifle to carry.

Re: New .223 Rifle

My Savage Axis was sub MOA out of the box with my handloads and the cheap Bushnell scope it came with. Only dislike is the bolt clearance to the scope body is tight, I smack my knuckle all the time... Might not be an issue for you if you can mount the scope further forward. I have neck issues and ca...
