Re: 1911 ?

I recently joined the 10mm 1911 club. Springfield TRP, which is discontinued. Bought it on Gunbroker. I've had it to the range and it shoots great! None of the stores have ammo, but Ammoseek finds enough for me. Picked up some ball and solid copper hollowpoints.

People Who Left

I just lost interest and rarely visit anymore. I do come back to get the Bang-Ping schedule each spring.

Metal Detectors at the State Fair

We're reviewing legal options w/ counsel about this issue in regards to Minnesota's Permit to Carry & State preemption laws. We'll have a decision in the coming weeks. b Just to clarify - do you mean you'll have a decision as to what approach you will take, in the coming weeks? If there's going...

NRA Board election

A strong functioning NRA would be a positive force in the battle for gun rights. Yes, I know thy do a lot of BS, but net we are better off with them. Unfortunately, New York AG May take them down. OTOH, maybe a better organization will rise from the ashes or grow into the vacuum. Sent from my iPhone...

NRA Board election

I did a search and didn’t find this topic. I got my ballot in the mail, and would like to vote for board candidates that aren’t Wayne toadies. Does anyone know who those candidates might be? If any? I know it’s a long shot that the board could overthrow King LaPierre, but voting and not contributing...

Democrats Introduce Bill Banning Gun Parts Kits

Maybe they should ban 0% receivers. Or at least require a 4473 and background check for every one.

So What are We Going to Lose in 2019?

First off I will fight any new anti gun laws the dems try and pass. Been doing that for my entire adult life . Everybody says they will stand their ground on a gun forum . Is that what you are claiming @Erud ? If so, you can be the test case vs State of Minnesota if they pass their unconstitutional...

Pelosi: Gun control ‘will be a priority’ in next House

I think we should let the democrats have UBC and red flag laws. Then they will be satisfied and we can get along.

Keeping Firearm in RV?

As posted above, laws will vary by state. My fiancée and I both have permits and carry wherever we can. We have MN and FL permits. We mostly visit states between Minnesota and Arizona which except Colorado have reciprocity. A person has to decide if protecting yourself and your loved ones is worth s...

PSA AR10 lower question

My DPMS 308 spends a lot of time in the safe. I prefer my 6.8 as it is built on the lighter 5.56 components (excluding bolt, barrel and mag). 6.8 seems to do the job fine on the hogs we've shot.

Twelfth Annual Pat Cannon Revolver Bang Ping

I plan to be there. I wonder if 230 grains of .44 special will drop the poppers faster?

Start with watching YouTube videos. Make sure you have good tools and fixtures including vise blocks for upper and lower. Not sure it matters whether you start with upper or lower. A good set of punches is important and I recommend pin starter punches too.
