Re: Sorting .45 SPP and LPP brass with Hornady LNL

Thanks EJ. My only current supply of LPP is Tula, which take some muscling in so I would not feel comfortable skipping the sorting. I understand. You will definitely not hear any competent reloader try and fault you for such a decision, myself included. I've merely come to the conclusion that for m...

Re: Anyone seen Lil Gun in any of the stores?

Guys!! The problem is NOT the powder availability!! It's the huge PITA of getting an ORM-D material shipped!! It will double or triple the price, and you have to fill out that extra paperwork!! Its all relative. For me paying the hazmat fee to ship primers and powder is cost prohibitive. But these ...

Re: Sorting .45 SPP and LPP brass with Hornady LNL

Shouldn't hurt anything in general. Of course this is assuming things such as not over exerting the lever, thus somehow crimping the spp pocket rendering the primer pocket unable to accept a primer... etc. As I load on my 550 this happens fairly often. Case won't take a primer, inspect case and sure...

Re: Anyone seen Lil Gun in any of the stores?

its in stores in Iowa. I was in Cherokee, IA the other day and a shop called Fire and Ice guns or something had several 1lb jugs. Not a place I frequent, but I try and hit stores when I'm in new areas.

Re: Bad day for my first born

My guess is you call Glock and explain to one of the tech's and they will treat you very fairly. That's been my experience albeit only some magazine issues is all I had.

They were nice people. I would not hesitate to call.

1-4xx20mm AR scope - illuminated reticle which Leupold?

I've been beating myself up on this decision for some time. I have an Eotech that goes between my slug gun and my AR (only part of that that stinks is the Eotech takes up too much space on the receiver to allow space for my brass catcher to work properly. If your're curious, this is what I use when ...

Re: Charge weighing issues

Sounds like you best get your hands on some known weight scale check weights. Lyman makes a nice little set for not much money from Midway etc. How do you know your scale was ever "fine"?

Re: The reloading bench...

I call shenanigans.

There is always somewhere for a primer/brass case to hide that is utterly unknown and out of sight to the reloader.

Re: M&P Shield

I was all excited to get one, then I saw it had a thumb safety. Read a lot of people thinking they'd just leave the safety disengaged and still pocket carry the gun in a holster. Just seems like they should offer it without a thumb safety. I have a g26 gen 4 on backorder, but would rather have the s...

Re: Automatic Magnetic Pulse Rifle

Try this one - built right here in Fridley plant. It was under initial construction when I worked there, http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/29/railgun-test-fire-video/ she seems to keyhole a bit. I'm sure that will/is (be) remedied. Wouldn't want my pickup being the one to take that (guessing here) 50...

Best issuing Sheriff for non-resident PTC?

Well, I forgot all about it, and my old MN Permit has expired. I now live in Iowa for those who don't know, and have since 2010. Upon moving, we were told by hennepin county that the current permits we had would suffice, etc... Anyway, now that I have an expired/useless permit, am just wondering wha...

Re: no more gunstop until john is back

one small thing to add, and this applies to nobody in particular... some people need to consider that the problem may not be the employee, but more likely the customer. While shopping in there I've heard some comments heavily influenced by stupidity, laziness, or being cheap. It is not all that surp...

Re: no more gunstop until john is back

While holding your hand lovingly doesn't happen there I admit... I have to smile at these comments. So now Larry is great but john is a turd? Not my experience. John greets me every time I walk in... Larry barely makes eye contact. This is all irrelevant however. You go there to get the best reloadi...

Re: Newbie to reloading

Don't load for friends. Its not in either persons best interest for several reasons. Your friend gets all benefit and no cost. You get all cost of buying equipment and time spent not to mention the liability of a bad round getting to your friends gun however unlikely. It isn't legal to sell ammo you...
