Re: 460 S&W

Here's mine. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg108/g_lauinger/DSCF0388.jpg They are certainly a hoot to shoot. Recoil isn't as bad as most think due to the massive weight. With the scope, mine weighs in at 88 oz (5.5 pounds). As someone else mentioned 454 Casull can hurt much wors...

Wet tumbling system

After seeing all the shiny brass that people were getting with the wet stainless steel tumbling systems, I purchased one. I had a vibrating bowl but the motor burned out so it was time for a new one. I purchased my setup from http://www.stainlesstumblingmedia.com. After playing around with this for ...

Re: The Passing of a legend

That's sad. I saw him a few times up in Dalton. He put on a good show and was a nice guy. Heck of a shot.

Re: Stainless pin tumbling

I just ordered a SS wet tumble system a couple weeks ago. It was on backorder, but it just shipped out yesterday. Can't wait to try it out. It looks very impressive from everything I've seen so far.

Re: Bought a cute little toy tonight

Yes, I enjoy going there. I feel pretty lucky that I can be there in about 3 minutes. And they typically have a pretty good selection of powders/primers, etc. Although things have been pretty sparse lately. But that's everywhere.

Re: Bought a cute little toy tonight

Very nice! That's probably the same one I was looking at the other week(I'm in Hutchinson). I was really torn between the Single 10 and the SP101. I walked out with the SP101. But I still want one of those Single 10s. And a Bearcat, and ........

Re: You should see the smoke!!

Yeah that's pretty typical for lead. Different lube/powder combinations have an affect on how much smoke you will have. I've had some that are so bad, that on a really calm evening at pistol league(outdoor range), that after about 10 shots, I can't see that targets anymore. It's nothing to worry abo...

Re: Firearm picture thread?

Might be able to chamber 410. I've never tried. They make two different frame sizes in the BFR, Short cylinder and long cylinder. I believe the first caliber they made the long cylinder model in was 45/70, so they designed the cylinder length around that. Then they added other calibers later. So the...

Re: None of thier business

Wow lots of action here. A couple things to share. 1) Not all teachers are ultra liberals. My wife being one of them. She read through the questionaire first, and she was upset about those question as well. And guess what I bought her for Easter. A new revolver! Yeah doesn't really have anything to ...

Re: None of thier business

I guess what I was getting at with the smoke and booze at that there is at least a hint of logic there(maybe). But I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, those questions have no business being on there either. So the hint of logic part. 1) Teacher notices that Johnny comes to school hackin...

None of thier business

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I was invited from a fellow Minnesotan on another forum. I just turned 40 and have been shooting ever since I can remember. I also do a fair amount of reloading. So here's my question. Our youngest daughter is going into Kintergarten this fall. They sent us this 13 page ...
