Quality PTC classes in June/July?

Renewal time coming up. Not seeing anything posted by the folks I was recommended after the last go around and not interested in repeating from the last place I went with unless I can’t find another option. Don’t see anything posted here yet.

Who has a quality class running in June/July?

Re: I must be getting old!

FWIW, I am really liking the recently revived Colt Cobra. Probably my next, need a lil' cousin for the Wiley Clapp GP100.

Re: SAR K2P

K2P is my wife’s gun. Nothing fancy but has a very good trigger, has never had a functional hiccup and hers is quite accurate. Great low cost DA/SA. Have had no problems whatsoever and it has not been finicky at all which is critical for her.

Re: I've lost my dang mind! Bought another Taurus carry gun...

The fiber optic in the universal bead shotgun sight cracked apart after another 300 rounds or so. Looked again and was able to pickup a set of front and rear fiber optic sights from Lakeline. Went together perfectly, took less than half an hour and required a T-8 torx bit, small flat bit, blue locti...

Re: Midway Letter to CA Customer

Seems like an FFL holder could engage a good lawyer to specifically work around this and just charge a couple bucks markup for the transfer, just like a firearm but without the overhead of a 4473 and BG check.

Re: Age to handle gun at store

Arnzen had no issue with my closely supervised 7 y/o son shouldering and looking down the sights of a Savage Rascal about a year ago.

Re: Evolving, apparenly officer involved shooting

A permit holder ostensibly attempting to comply with an officer is shot dead and all you can do is worry about the reaction because he's black? Shouldn't WE be way out ahead of black lives matters in terms of outrage on this? THIS! I made one remark as to the racial component, because that was almo...

Re: Gun Safe

One last point, this is a legacy purchase. With that in mind, the upfront costs don't seem so extreme knowing that they safe will certainly outlive you and anyone who may inherit it from you. I have to keep telling myself this. Some day my son will have and use it. I dunno, maybe your grandkids wil...

Ruger GP100 Wiley Clapp

Looked at one of these last year sometime, had some doubt and didn't pick it up, and it was gone before I made my mind up. You know the story. This year, they came out blued and with a brass bead instead of FO which I prefer so I reluctantly passed again. Saw this one lightly used at Gunstop for $10...

Re: .22LR revolvers - best/worst?

6" S&W 617 paired with a twin 686+ were my first ever firearms purchase, and 25 years later still two of my favorites. I love the speed beez setup for the 617 with 100 rounds in a closeable loading box setup with a speed loader that will grab 10 at a time out of the box. The 617 is great fo...

Re: Handgun safe near bed recommendation

I have one of these in the corner of my bed, cable locked to the bed frame. Some folks like and some don't but it's the only one I am confident I can unlock in the dark by feel, and have a backup key just in case. I get about a year out of a good 9v battery opening almost it almost every day, and wh...

Re: Where is the best place to post a gun for sale for FTF sale?

Sold 2 guns on this forum, bought some stuff also. It is nice to see they have some history on the forum. Like others said I always ask in advance to see PTP or PTC for eligibility and DL to verify identity. I do not make a bill of sale, unless the buyer requests but none have. I have a book that I ...

Re: S&W Model 41...

Congrats! Where did you find it? I've been looking to get one for a while. I cannot send PMs again - so I will make the big announcement and maybe you will see it first ;) Gunstop in Minnetonka had a model 41 on the shelf as of yesterday afternoon. Must have been there a while, or they have a hidde...
