Re: May Bang Ping Results

Yes, Pretty colors, but dang, one time I hate being in the 'special' category! Stage 3, had a nasty stovepipe, took Benny and his knife to get it out and one target for some reason was good at ducking. Stage 4, most everyone saw, my strong hand was not, I just couldn't get'r'done, had to use ...

Re: May Bang Ping

Big thanks to Benny, China and everyone else making a noobs day a great one. Had a blast! Got a lot of helpful tips, hope I can remember them all. Felt I improved as the day went on with moments of total panic and failure in man vs man and loved every minute of it. Was great meeting everyone, can't ...

Re: Kent State Shootings: 44 years ago...anybody remember it?

I was in eighth grade and remember the events well and that it was nothing to look forward to. I would join the Air Force several years later after graduating.

Re: rookie reloading question?

I started reloading a year ago for 45 and 9mm. On the 9mm, I started out with the Winchester 115gr FMJ I purchased from Gunstop where I bought all my stuff and then switched to Berry's plated and have now started in on 4000 rounds of 115gr FMJ from Precision Delta.

Re: April Steel Shoots Results

I'm new here so it took a bit to get an account but to the first posting by "MarkL" I'm a new "MarkL" that was listed in those stats so apologies to the original MarkL for stats that might not be up to his normal shooting skills. To eliminate future confusion I will go by the na...

That could explain it then, I assumed board names. Wish I had been there, was on my mind all day.

Re: Need help, bullet tip dented on seating

The bullets are as I stated FMJ. Dillon 550b with separate seating and crimp (taper) dies. The issue was simply that I didn't pay enough attention to when I set up the seating die that it has a reversible feature for different bullet types and as my luck would have it, it's always going to be the op...

Re: Need help, bullet tip dented on seating

It's 45acp - you are overthinking things. If you don't like dented bullets switch to jacketed or get a different seater die. But honestly it's tough to mess up a 45. Load them and head to the range. Huh? Loading 9mm, Issue solved though, OAL reset, works fine. Yes, I've reloaded a total of 400 roun...

Re: Need help, bullet tip dented on seating

There is a reversible bullet seat in the Dillon dies. Try flipping it around. You have to pull the clip, slide out a cross pin, flip the seat and reinstall cross pin then put the clip back on the seating die. Readjust for COL. Spinner YEP! Found it going thru the documentation after I made the post...
