What are the odds of a reporter quoting a police officer quoting the victim correctly?

Re: Never going to Bills Range again...

I wonder what would happen if someone called 911 and reported "assault with a deadly weapon".

Do you suppose any of the gangbangers there are prohibited, by dint of prior convictions, from possessing a firearm?

Re: Walmart resuming gun sales

No, but different companies have different ideas about what the best strategy is. If you're a manufacturer, Walmart will pay you $1 for your widget, even though you need $1.02 to sustain your company. Next year, they'll be willing to pay you $.95, and they'll happily continue to squeeze you until y...

Re: Experts say Kids NEVER should be near guns

Why is it that the posters "gun rights" seem to superceed all others rights. Sure you can have any smug comment if a concerned parent asks if you have guns in the house. You can even use the "politics" excuse or relate the question to a sexual position choice but why make light ...

The law says you can shoot a mugger who's attacking you, too, but that doesn't make it a good option.

Water is compressible, just not as much as air (but more than land or we'd be in serious trouble).

Re: CNN Tonight

I just saw it on the 360 replay. The question I want answered is how many of those 85% of all murders committed with firearms are done by permit holders. Philly is just pissed that PA got pre-emption. A year or two ago there was a murder case in Philly. The DA made a major point in the trial (a fri...

Re: "No Postings by X...," Option Removal

You can't force me to read something I don't want to. Having software to make it easier is nice (not that I've ever used it here). Actually, you sort of could: before someone is allowed to post to a thread they have to pass a test on all the previous postings in that thread. If you don't implement s...

Re: Am I doing something wrong?

I had that too for a while. Go to the logon page (don't log on from the index), and make sure "remember me" or whatever that field is called is checked.

Re: Giuliani Defends Right to Bear Arms???.... for his aggenda o

But the major part, as I have been explaining to people since 2000, was this: Bush won the popular vote as well, if you factor out the illegal aliens voting, the convicted felons voting, and the addled old folks who couldn't have told you the name of the current vice president, who were rounded up ...
