shell latch in 870

My 870 will not bring up the next shell after ejecting the spent shell. I have been told it could be the shell latches, and that is the cheapest fix. My other option is to fix and trade in. Its the 870 Magnum Wing master, made in 1971. Chambered for 2 3/4" & 3". Any ideas on the trade-...

Carl Gustafs

I was reading up on some sniping history. Anyone know anything about the old Carl Gustaf model mausers used in WWII? Seems like it'd be a fun gun to shoot/collect, as it seems very unique.

Recommend reading it, as it puts technology vs old-school into a unique perspective. Also, Redfield has a sco...

Re: back to the motherland

I am not sure where greenfield is. Its possible, cuz I've been a lot of places. Where can a guy go around here to get some practice at 200+ yds?

back to the motherland

Hey y'all. Moved back to Minny after a 2 yr tour in San Diego. Avid hunter and fisherman, and always enjoy shooting my 308. Don't consider myself a gun nut, but I love my guns.

Re: pre 64 action in a 1972 model 70

Thank you all for the input. I love the way she shoots now. Just a thought I had, so I figured I'd fish for input. I'd be happy to burn some powder some day if any of ya live in/near the Twin Cities metro.

Re: pre 64 action in a 1972 model 70

I've heard the post 64 action was one of the biggest changes they made from pre-64 to post-64 model. Mine is in 308. I'm no gunsmith, so I don't know all that would go into it. Thanks.

pre 64 action in a 1972 model 70

Looking to replace the action in my 70 with a pretty 64. Can this be done? I see the new 70s are coming with the pre-64 style action.
