Re: You Simply Can't Make this Crap UP

This may be speculation on her part but if it's true this is the problem: " In an attempt to scare away the burglars , my grandfather pulled out one of his guns. They grabbed his gun, then shot and killed him". "In an attempt to scare..." You only draw a weapon if you are willing...

Re: OBAMA TO CIRCUMVENT CONGRESS WITH ‘GAG ORDER’ ON FIREARM COV

Apathy is a fast track to loss of freedoms, I'd rather have the NRA bird dogging any potential infringement on our rights than not. Without the legitimate gun rights groups we'd probably only be allowed to carry a six shooter with one bullet in our shirt pocket! A seemingly harmless toe in the door ...

Re: Well- will more ammo be available now?

It's not just gun sales according to the NY Post. “People were buying guns and ammo in a panic session,” Dick’s CEO Ed Stack told analysts on a Tuesday conference call. Stack cited worries “around what would happen with gun legislation after the election.” That panic ebbed last fall, and Stack said...

Thanks, for some reason IE kept going to the redirected site. Firefox and Chrome worked ok, I had to clear cache and reboot to get IE to work.

Re: Just a note to show that the .22LR craze is still here.

Rip Van Winkle the demand for the product is artificial and the supply is enough to meet real consumer demand. The issue is that the scalpers are creating an artificial lack of supply which is causing people to think it is scarce and buy more then they normally would thus inflating demand well beyo...

Re: Hornady LNL AP Press Questions

.... For everything else(including 1000 yard match ammo) I use a Dillon 550. It's not as fast as the 650, but it's a lot simpler and more versatile. With a few minor modifications, it produces ammo as good as any single stage press. No, I am not joking. Unless speed is your only concern, I'd seriou...

Re: Cost to cut and crown barrel?

I had the first 1 1/2 inches of the muzzle end of a .920 bull barrel turned down to .750 so I could mount a bloop tube on it. It had to be recrowned too and that job ran about 90 bux. Done by GS Gunsmith http://www.gunsmithmn.com and he did a good job pretty fast turn around at the time ...

Re: Ammo Aplenty at Gouger Mountain

Then there was the big re-grand opening at the Lakeville store when they opened the Gander Academy, they put 525 round bulk packs of Federal on sale for $14.99 (19.99-$5.00 coupon and it was unlimited). I bought 42K rounds and they still had plenty left when the sale ended I wish I would have bough...
