I have a mercury recoil reducer in one of my shotguns. It works and is worth the money. I would buy one rather than make one.

Plus One on checking the gas ports of the barrel.

There is a guy selling hybrids at Element Arms.
He makes them locally.
Seems like a nice guy and good holsters.

I have two Crossbreeds and they are great holsters. They are well made and extremely comfortable.
I know four other people who own and use Crossbreed holsters and they are all very happy with them.
