Re: Big trouble with the Precision Delta group buy

Having no part of this what so ever: as a poor college student, holy heck am I glad I didn't get in on this. I made an account specifically to question about getting in on the order. A smart man learns from his mistakes, a wise man learns from others mistakes. For all of you who are out money, thank...

Re: Hornady LNL AP Press Questions

I've had one issue with primer seating stems getting gunned up an locking up the press. It broke some stuff because I forced it. After talking with hornaday they informed me that I had the old style stems, they replaced large and small primer seating stems and slide trays. They also sent me all the ...

Re: Any one ever ever build a dueling tree?

I'm mostly just looking for a plinking tree, thus me wanting it cheap. If I were to be running competitions and what not, yea I'd probably drop $5-600 on a "nice" tree. This is more just for practicing and having a good time, while still being able to feed my skinny self.

Re: Any one ever ever build a dueling tree?

So I'm starting to wonder if any one even looked at the kit I posted. The paddles are all pre cut and made of 3/8" AR500.... As far as a grinder, I meant to cut the angle iron. I'm welding a tube into the v of the angle iron so that ought to be pretty hard to screw up. The only other part is to...

Re: Any one ever ever build a dueling tree?

When you factor in all the extraneous expenses, it's not an unfair price for what they're selling. I'd agree with that. Steel, and precision cutting tools aren't cheap. My experience comes from 4x4 parts, but it's similar. Rocker guards made from $50 in angle iron don't equal rocker guards that are...

Re: Any one ever ever build a dueling tree?

He's got a pretty solid suggestion of what angle iron to use and some semi-plans to build it. It really doesn't seem like it'll be too hard to build. I ordered a kit, I'll post another thread when I get it built. See how things go...

FJ540 wrote:What caliber do you want the tree to handle?

That's the thing, I want it for rifle and pistol. I shoot some heavy 10mm but would also want to sling some .223 and maybe .308 its way.

Any one ever ever build a dueling tree?

I've been thinking about doing a dueling tree here lately. It looks like The Target Man makes a decent DIY kit. http://www.thetargetman.com/product/diy-dueling-tree-ar500-6-target-kit/ I don't weld, but i'm sure I could find some one who does. Thing doesn't look that difficult. Weld a couple tubes t...

Re: OGC Questions

For those of you thinking about joining, DO IT. I have saved so much freaking money by not paying $15 every time I go to that dump, Bills. Not to mention as a member, you can shoot steel and other fun stuff. Oh and not to mention that you get to shoot out to 200yds vs 50 at bills. I can't even tell ...
