Re: slicking up single action revolvers

I'm certainly not planning a career in gunsmithing. I just like to know how things work. This is in the pursuit of knowledge.

Speaking of, any recommendations for single action gunsmiths?

Even Victor Tibbets had to start somewhere! :)

slicking up single action revolvers

So I just acquired an Uberti 1875 Outlaw. I already had to replace the hand spring, which seems to be a common problem. A lot of fun to shoot, regardless!

Now I got the bug and would love to slick up the action. Anyone up to give me a crash course on single actions?

Re: Who has an FN FNS?

I really really liked the FNS I had. I ended up trading it because of this problem:

The last time I was at Bills though, I tried to replicate the issue on a new one and it seemed to be fixed.

Re: Viridian reactor R5

Battery life is only 1 hour depending on use. Yikes! What kind of batteries does it gobble up, TTS?

Re: Viridian reactor R5

I look forward to the review. I have the CT grips for my LCR and love the intuitive activation which piqued my interest in the R5. Looks about the same size too.

Viridian reactor R5

My tax return just burned a Shield size hole in my pocket, so I've been looking at lasers. I found this green laser from Viridian and found the ECR concept intriguing. It uses a magnet in the holster for instant de/activation. http://www.viridiangreenlaser.com/catalog/product_info.ph...

Re: Sig Sauer 1911 style pistols

I love my Nightmare Carry. I really like the fastback frame. Fits my hands great! I wish CT made grips other than the Rosewood grips for a fastback. Mine does like to fling brass in my face though. I've got a nice red burn mark on my eyebrow where a piece of brass landed on top of my glasses. I've b...

Re: New Ammo buying policy at Walmart

i got three boxes of Federal 9mm at the Silver Lake Village Walmart back in April. I stopped in with my brother to pick up some targets on the way to the range and must have been there at just the right time. They had some Hyrdashoks too. I went back the next day and they were gone. I saw them on ar...

Re: Grey Fox poses for the camera

I totally agree with big dog! My mom lives down in Edina on Lake of Edina and always sends me pictures of all the wildlife back there. There's been great herons, snowy owls, raccoons, possums, as well as all the waterfowl on the lake. Canadian geese, loons, and plenty of ducks. She had a mother duck...
