Re: Any owners of the Henry Survival .22?

I have the Charter Arms AR-7 which is the predecessor before it became the Henry Survival. It shoots well and straight out to 25 yards with the peep sights.

If I was to choose between the Henry or the Ruger takedown today, I'll take the Ruger.

Re: Officers shoot and kill man in his home during raid

The SWAT team was awarded medals for what they did when they came under fire. That included protecting and shielding the father's own kids as the father blasted away blindly through a closed door. One of them took a blast in his vest while he was in one of the kids bedroom and was moving a child to ...

Re: A novel approach to increased police accountability In Mpls.

I'm wondering what the real affect of requiring cops to have professional liability insurance of their own. I see police work done is two ways, reactive and proactive. Reactive is going to calls, taking reports, going to crime scenes, responding after a crime has already been committed. Proactive is...

Re: Cops in schools

In the event something does happen at least more kids will be hit by cops bullets then the perpetrators. :( I do believe lots of cops are not trained as well as they should be, but to say that they WILL hit more students is not likely. In most school shootings, the point of the gunman is to kill as...

Re: Cops in schools

The schools here in Minneapolis has Minneapolis cops assigned to schools. I think each cop is assigned a high school and a couple of middle schools. They are suppose to spend most of their time in the high school but check in at the other schools randomly at least once a day. I have a kid in high sc...

Re: Zimmerman Arrested for "Disturbance"

Reports are he pointed a gun at his girlfriend. If true, I'm embarrassed I defended this loser. His track record since his trial has been crappy. Sounds like he's the type of guy that makes me want to carry a firearm. Same here. After all the people that came to defend him, you'd think he would be ...

Same here unless something is really fouled up.

And when I do use bore brushes, I use brass and I replace them when they start to feel loose.

Ex-worker at Minneapolis-St. Paul airport pleads guilty to stealing firearms from luggage http://www.startribune.com/local/226311851.html I once flew to a hunting trip with my rifle in an obvious rifle case that I checked in. I'm guessing you're right. A little too one-sided and the media loves to twist things to make them more controversial.

Re: 1st Wed Lunch

These meet-ups always interested me so I might as well ask.

How do you know its the MNGunTalk group in the place?

Is there a purpose to it like show support for Open Carry, or is it just for people to meet and have good company?

Re: MN 3 GUN GROUP MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT

I just looked at my ammo and they are the green tips. This may be a long shot, but does anyone know of any store in the metro that has the 223 in stock without overflated prices?

Re: Hello from Minneapolis

To shooter115, I'm glad nobody got hurt. We got some trees down in the neighborhood and one fell on a neighbor's car down the street. Lots of branches down in the streets. But nothing major. To Villy, thanks but I already fixed that small patch at my sister's yard with just one sod roll. Thank you f...
