Re: Journey to owning my first handgun

Heffay wrote:Glock 19. It's the standard to which all other guns are measured.

Why get a lesser gun? That's for future purchases!

Whose standard? Yours?

Re: Journey to owning my first handgun

Thanks for the response. You know, I think I will try out a 40 S&W next time. Is there much of a price difference between 9MM ammo & 40 S&W? I'm looking for something somewhat inexpensive to shoot at the range. The gun will also serve as home self defense, which is the reason why I'm no...

Re: What is with CZ production?

It sounds like they are doing their best to help you. There must be a delay in getting the new weapon over here. Maybe Obama's delaying imports with Japanese inspections. Anyway you are getting a better weapon. Sucks to have to wait but patience will pay off with something more than you paid for. Gl...

Re: Journey to owning my first handgun

All fine pistols. What are you going to do with your first one-you will want more. Longer barrels equal accuracy due to longer sight plane and are more pleasurable to shoot due to added weight and less muzzle flip. Go for 9mm long barrel if it will be used mostly on the range because ammo is cheaper...

Re: Is the panic over?

It's all coming back. If you sold your excess on gunbroker for big $$$ two or three months ago, you did the right thing and can buy double what you had if you're patient and shop around now. If you're like XDM45 and sat on 25,000 rounds of .22lr through the panic you made a poor financial decision....

Re: America’s Recent Gun-Buying “Fever” Is Cooling Down

Picked up Blazer Brass 9mm on clearance down in TX in 06 for $4 a box at the Walmarts that were discontinuing firearms. Picked up around 50 boxes. Still shooting it. Also picked up 38, 40, 45, when I could scrounge it for cheap. Found some win 5.56 for $3.50 a box and people said why are buying so m...

I know, it's beating a dead horse, but check this link

Good post. Filled out the questionnaire based on my knowledge at the time of the verdict, not what I learned from hard research. The liberal media is hell bent on ruining America.

Re: NOT GUILTY!

Perhaps. I don't know for sure. However if someone is smoking dope, emulating the "Gangsta Life", wearing gold teeth, what are the chances they have a legal gun? Stereotyping? Yup. It is....and people do it all the time. Yup. Much like how I imagine what you must look like. Heffay, there'...

Re: NOT GUILTY!

How many of us can say we were fine, upstanding, law-abiding citizens at 17? I know I can't. Heck, I did worse things as a teen than the stuff Martin was caught doing. Zimmerman was the only witness to how the altercation began, and a certifiable doofus. So the state didn't have enough evidence to ...

Re: NOT GUILTY!

What lead you to the conclusion that TM was a "thug" and deserved to be killed? Was it the gold teeth? The weed habit? How do you even know the handgun is illegal? You're a piece of work. Ok. You win. Travyon was a fine upstanding individual who was wronged by an evil man. I'm sure the we...

Re: Finally, a cop I could get along with.

I wonder if he is taking himself seriously. I really hope not. :-( Heffay, Did you know you've been a member for 1263 days, and have 8495 posts? That's almost 7 posts a day, for three years. Do you even work? I think it's pretty clear I live on government money. All I can ask for is higher taxes so...

Re: Zimmerman a HERO?

I was googling the 264 Win Mag and stumbled across this site. Surprised by how many leftist socialists occupy this site. Compromise does not work when it comes to the constitution and long standing moral values. Does anyone believe lying in bed with the leftist will benefit gun rights. If you do you...
