Re: What is the status of Coonan?

LarryFlew wrote:http://www.coonaninc.com still works - nothing new though

It was not coming up for me earlier in the day. Even checked with one of the "is it down" sites and it said it was too.

Looks like the message has not changed. Still says end of November. Not sure why we are discussing it again.

Looks like their website has disappeared. Probably have not paid their hosting bill in a while.

Re: 3D printing

My advice do not go that cheap because you just find yourself replacing parts and hacking it. I have a cheap Hyperion Forge 3d (i3 clone) that my friend bought and brought to me and said make it work because he had nothing but problems. We've hacked it and upgraded this and that in the quest for a b...

Re: For those of us that reload : Keep Your Powder Dry

Here's a link to a pretty good pdf file that covers the "requirements". If this doesn't help, try a search on "Storing Smokeless Powder" and it will give you more info https://saami.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Info-Doc-Smokeless-Powder.pdf This link also has the d...

Re: For those of us that reload : Keep Your Powder Dry

It's been on my to-do list for a while to build a storage cabinet / trunk of some sorts that would have some amount of fire containment. Question is for the quantity of powder that I have what would it take to actually contain that to some extent.

Re: What is the status of Coonan?

I went to Fleet Farm Friday so for chits and giggles I thought that I would drive by their shop (is a few blocks from Fleet farm). No cars parked there, snow not shoveled off the walk and looked to be pretty dark inside. Feel sorry for anyone with money involved. Well that sucks. I feel more sorry ...

I assume based on lead times... but that's not to say for sure as there could be other factors that affect lead times.

Re: What is the status of Coonan?

If I wasn’t on this forum I’d have likely never heard of them. Seems they could spend a bit more on marketing. They are a boutique manufacturer just like most custom 1911 shops that you have never heard of. Why spend money on marketing if demand is already exceeding your capacity? Interestingly fou...

Re: What is the status of Coonan?

Bond Arms is acquiring them. just kidding Whatever is going on they sure are doing a good job of keeping it quiet. They used to test fire their guns at Metro since it was so close. Not sure if they still do. So it's plausible Rick might have some kind of insight if someone were inclined to ask...

Re: Pelosi: Gun control ‘will be a priority’ in next House

While I understand and agree with the objections to UBC, I think that is going to be the most difficult for us to stop either in MN or nationally. Have to agree with that. Universal background checks seem like a no brainier to them and they are going to push hard. If they had any knowledge of what ...
