Re: Capra's Closed?

I’ve been in Capra’s a fair number of times over the years looking at firearms and accessories. Always found them to a bit over priced. To be fair I don’t fish or do archery so I don’t know if they were competitive pricing in those departments. I have never been desperate enough to pay their ammuni...

Capra's Closed?

Tried to go there a few times recently and just a sign in the door that it's closed for inventory. Now Google maps shows it as temporarily closed. Just dug up this article: https://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/2024/05/29/capras-sporting-goods-faces-foreclosure-lawsuit.html Capra's Sporting Go...

This is what has kept me away from this round. The lacquer coating on the brass just is not worth the fuss.

Re: Gun store/ range permanently closed

This news did not surprise me in the least. I know multiple people who had bad experiences with the owner and refuse to go back. Their "trip to the hood" advertising promotion was beyond idiotic too.

Re: Hennepin County permit timing

My renewal in Hennpein county I did about a month ago was back in under two weeks. Imagine some might take longer than other still though. But for the general law abiding populace seems they are turning them around pretty quick.

The transfer may be permanent or temporary... ...If a respondent permanently t...

Re: Savage Firearms busness raided today...?

He received a "stay of imposition" which simply means he did not do jail time. Looking at the MN court records he is a convicted felon. The date of conviction was 11/23/2022 though. When did he start at Atomic? Possible he got hired before it showed up in 3rd party background check systems...

When the story is "I heard from a guy who heard from a guy...". Yeah I think theories is the word.

Red Dot in 28ga

So a friend was given a MEC 12ga, 20ga, and 28ga. Guy he got it from said he ran Red Dot in everything and all the presses were setup for it. He thought that was just great since he's been running 12ga with Red Dot for decades and already had plenty of it. Instant red flag to me though when he says ...

Re: AR in .410 upper platform- What’s the point?

I have a friend who bought one and shoots skeet with it from time to time. So really the only point is because you can.
