Even the NRA is calling for additional regulation of bump stocks. This is a done deal.

Betsy

Whatever one thinks of Mayor Hodges, this is a non-story and would never have arisen but for KSTP's hunger for sweeps ratings and John Delmonico's haste to tar and feather her for daring to say that there is room for improvement in the MPD (a department that has paid more than $10M to resolve civil ...

Re: Words of Wisdom from Michael Moore

Take the areas of the world that are in active conflict out of the equation, and he has a point. America is not the most armed nation, but we have more than our share of gun related issues. Though the fix isnt to get rid of the guns (as shown by the other heavily armed nations in the world) it is t...

Re: Words of Wisdom from Michael Moore

I generally dislike Michael Moore, and I thought Bowling for Columbine, in particular, was an awful piece of filmmaking, but I think there is merit to the question he's posing in the linked article (that is, why Americans in particular commit so many gun-related crimes relative to other countries wh...

Re: Para LDA Hi-Cap

I really really like the LDA guns. To me the trigger is kind of an idealized version of the Glock single-and-a-half action trigger. I may have to pick one up one of these days . . .

Re: Awkward purchasing question

While it's not illegal to transfer if you have a permit ( mn 609.66 and mn 624.713). I for one would never transfer without paperwork for my own protection. Even though I could show a valid MN license and a MN permit to acquire handguns? Would you sell a gun (particularly an AR) to a stranger witho...

Re: No ATF with shutdown?

Or maybe Vladamir can handle that situation too since BHO can't. Funny. G-dub could call him "Pooty-Poot", BHO pretty much has to call him sir. That tells ya somethin' right there. In fairness President Bush also said he had "looked into Putin's soul" and found him trustworthy. ...

Re: How Shootings Stigmatize People Living with Mental Illness

I respect the intentions of the author, but I have never really understood the sentiment that we as a society are somehow stigmatizing mental illness in a way that impedes treatment. In this particular instance, Aaron Alexis was floridly psychotic. He believed that his brain was being controlled by ...

Newbie from NE Minneapolis

Hi guys! I am a new member living in NE Minneapolis (though I grew up in South Minneapolis). I am getting back into the shooting hobby after a few years off. I've always been primarily a pistol shooter but have placed an order for a new JP-15 rifle, my first AR. Looking forward to shooting my new toy!
