Mpls convention center

Anyone know if they do pat downs or have metal detectors at the convention center? Thinking about going to the bike show this weekend and wondering if I should leave the carry pc at home.

Smith and Wesson MP15 VTAC II

Thinking about picking one of these up and was wondering if anyone has any experience (good/bad) with one? In particular the Geissele Super V Trigger. Everything I've read to this point makes it sound like a pretty decent rifle.
