Last year I too got the itch for a revolver. Picked up a used Smith & Wesson 4" 686. This gun is a lot of fun to shoot. Warning - this can be addictive. I want to add more revolvers to my collection but it is not in the budget at the moment. The other one that I was considering was the Ruge...
I have been a member there for a little over a year now. Dont get there as often as I would like, but they have always been friendly and pleasant to deal with. The only time I have seen anyone get stern with a customer is when somebody thinks that the range rules dont apply to them.

Another vote for Thunderjohn. I bought an M&P from him about three months ago. A week later he had a sale on that gun. He contacted me to let me know that he would refund the price difference. Great customer service.
Is it usually 30 days to get the permit or is that just a general guide line. This depends on your local sherrif. By law they have to approve or deny within 30 days. I live in Scott cty and had my permit within one week. A friend of mine in Dakota cty took 30 days. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapat...
Scott Cty is quick with new applications as well. I turned in my app at the end of the day on a Friday, my permit arrived in the mail the following Friday.
A friend of mine lives in Dakota Cty and they took the full 30 days to get his application done.
I am pretty new to handguns but it doesn't take much reading before you realize that the 1911 has a huge fan base. A few days ago I ran into a friend at the range and he pulls out his Springfield 1911. I commented that it was a nice looking gun. He asked if I wanted to shoot it? ... HELL YEAH!!!! I ...
Well I finally got to the range a couple of days ago to give this a try and it worked pretty well. I still need to work on my accuracy though - I have a tendency to miss down and to the left. Next trip to the range I am working on a firmer grip and smoother trigger pull. Thanks to everyone for your ...
is it wise to try to shoot using my non-dominant eye? My right eye is my dominant eye. However I am also slightly farsighted with my right eye. Not enough to need corrective lenses for most activities. But enough so that I cannot focus clearly on the front sight of my handgun. My left eye is slightl...
Everybody on this forum has a different favorite gun  . Plus some change their mind with every new purchase ;) Yeah I see that. It's like asking what is the best sports car. Some guys only drive Ford, some guys only drive Chrysler, and every right-thinking individual drives Chevy  One thi...
Hi everyone. I just found this site and I am looking forward to learning lots from everyone here and hopefully contributing to the community. As a kid, I did a lot of shooting with rifles and shotguns, but no handguns. Right now I am doing research for my first handgun purchase. The primary use will...
