Re: Evolving, apparenly officer involved shooting

He apparently got his permit through Henn Cty as a Robinsdale resident. The sources being his family. (which begs a question in my mind , did he update his address) none of which is relevant to what happened that night. Whether he had a permit, or not; or if the cop knew he had a permit, or not - a...

Re: 4 Men Charged in Minneapolis 4th Precinct Shooting

The riot charge seems to apply to their behavior perfectly. While it's possible for a person to regain their reluctant participant status by retreating, there are most likely limits to what sort of behavior or willing participation can be zeroed out by retreating. I'm going to guess that self defen...

Who would get my money?

So, let's just say that a company I work for is having an employee donations campaign. In this theoretical campaign, I would donate money to a 501c3. And at random, my employer draws a bunch of our donations and matches them. This year, I find it important to donate to a worthy Pro-2a cause and am l...

Re: Re: Legal question regarding work weapons policy.

Just be careful if you carry and disarm when you get to work. I did that for years. I had a lock box cabled to the seat mount. It is stupid and dangerous to have to unholster and handle the gun, but I needed the job, income and health insurance as my wife had cancer. At least if it's a pocket gun, ...

Re: Re: Legal question regarding work weapons policy.

Two options - 1) You could talk with your HR leader / representative about the contradiction. The plus side - perhaps they'll change their policy. The down side, they now know you care about the issue and may choose to take other actions down the road based upon their perception of what this means/...

Re: Re: W Trigger Guard?

It looks to me like a solution in search of a problem. If you practice with your rifle, you obtain the same firing grip regardless. If you think it looks neat and want to spend the dough, go ahead, but don't expect to become the next state champ from it... I agree, being below the bore axis and beh...

Re: Re: Suppressor, Second Amendment bills hearing scheduled!

I suspect there will be some rebuttals, and additional commentary at the evening session, as there was some discussion amongst the committee about of a lack of qualified medical evidence as to the hearing health benefits. What about those who work in indoor ranges? I'm sure OSHA has some stats some...
