Re: Constitutional Carry and Self Defense Law Reform to be heard

The House Speaker Rep. Kurt Daudt has said he likely won't include the pro-gun bills into the House Public Safety Omnibus Bill. We need everyone to call and write to try and get him to change his mind. From a http://www.gunowners.mn email: Earlier this month, two critical pro-Second Amendment bills...

Pro gun bills introduced in the MN House

Constitutional carry and self-defense law reform, (castle doctrine, no duty to retreat) have been introduced. The House speaker and other Republican House leaders are committed to passing these bills and other bills through the House. We are still working on the Senate, not sure if we will get the G...

Re: white suspects were attacked after being surrounded...

What does MN law require for making a self defense claim? Largely asking WRT the issue of reporting the incident to the police. Sticking around next to the injured but not dead assailants would be borderline suicide, and could easily be seen as further provocation (if any really existed initially) o...

Re: Suppressor Bill Signed!

The hearing loss issue is worse than we thought. You can't adequately protect your hearing with just plugs and muffs because of sound conduction through the lower jaw. This limits the maximum effective noise attenuation to 36db. Most of my research and sources are located in this thread. http://www....

Re: Suppressor, Second Amendment bills hearing scheduled!

Here are some links I have found. The one about hunting dogs is relevant to the discussion. With many rifles, especially rifles with shorter barrels, like the "pistols" that shoot rifle rounds, rifles with muzzle brakes, and higher than average velocity rifles, it is impossible to get to s...

Re: Red Flag! SF1289/HF1361.

Four House Bills passed to the floor: Suppressors, end to the Capitol carry notification requirement, North Dakota Reciprocity, and buying long guns across state lines. All anti gun bills are DOA in the House. Even the suppressor bill only had one nay vote. The Senate does not want to be a apart of ...

Re: MN Suppressors

33 states allow hunting with suppressors, and 39 states allow their ownership. Many of those 33 hunting with suppressor states passed their pro suppressor legislation in the last few years. The wave of progress in suppressors is much faster and stronger than it was with carry laws.

Re: Respectfully, I do not want 'Constitutional Carry' in MN :)

I was on the MN forums (I forget which ones) back in 2003 and 2004. I am also on http://www.thehighroad.org http://www.armedpolitesociety.com and a few others. Andrew Rothman and a few others can vouch for me. I went shooting, help with passing the carry laws, twice, and crashed a few Million Mom Ma...

Re: Respectfully, I do not want 'Constitutional Carry' in MN :)

The things we should try and change first concerning carry would be: Replace the training requirement with a free PDF that covers the laws, standards, basic safety, and so on. Actual training, while a good idea, would not be required to defend yourself outside the home without it being a gross misde...
