Election and gun buying habits

Just a few of MY observations: 1) the polls say Hillary is our likely next POTUS 2) that means the Supreme Court will be liberal leaning for the rest of our lives 3) the Senate at this point looks like a 50/50 tossup 4) looks like the Republicans will keep the House. Anyway, it seems, at least as fa...

Re: .22 LR

Gander Mountain has some "hard to find" Federal American Eagle Suppressor Subsonic Rimfire Ammo, .22 LR, 45 gr-CPRN. I didn't see a limit and the price is $3.59/50. http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Federal-American-Eagle-Suppressor-Subsonic-Rimfire-Ammo-22-L...

Re: .22 LR

Does anyone spend much time watching Armslist? Does .22 really still sell like hotcakes for inflated prices by the gougers? I'd think we'd be getting back to a point where the demand has decreased enough to make reselling/gouging impractical. I watch Armslist, but am finding it's a waste of time fo...

Re: Ahlman's Shooter's Round-Up

Want to say I remember last year there was no handgun testing and I was really disappointed. Either that or there was not much to try. Sadly I probably won't be making it this year though anyways. Really? That had to have been one of the most popular things to do there. I missed last year, but have...

Re: Age to handle gun at store

Couple things... He is 11, so no certificate. How would they know anyway? I was standing right next to him He was pointing the gun at the wall, finger off the trigger. Not down an isle or at someone behind the counter or customers or anything. I was instructing him the whole time. I guess I don't wa...

Age to handle gun at store

So I went into a local gun store today with my 11 year old. I've been in there several times (although was asked if I've been in there before), and bought guns and ammo over the years. We've been looking on and off for a shotgun for him that fits right, has a nice barrel length and isn't too heavy. ...

Re: Evolving, apparenly officer involved shooting

Forgive me if this has already been brought up, but is there a reason the officer was facing the driver? Everytime I've been pulled over going back to the 80's, the LEO stays behind me. And I know it's TV, but the stuff I see on TV seems to indicate the same. Pretty hard to shoot a LEO that way I wo...

Re: .22 LR

My friend picked up a sleeve of Winchesters at the Lakeville store this past weekend. Limit 1 and he said there were 15 or so on a Saturday afternoon. He said there were a few boxes of Golden Bullet bulk packs sitting on the counter, but didn't ask about them. Perhaps we've at least turned a corner?

Re: .22 LR

Has anyone here ever purchased ammo from this Wisconsin company? Not a bad price for a brick of CCI Blazers....$23.99/500. Shipping is about $10 to my address and no sales tax. ;) http://www.code3tactical.net/cciblazer22lrhighspeedboxof500.aspx BBB gives it a D+ Then there's this: http://www.armsli...

Re: Lead Free

Why not just shoot into a bullet trap?

Get a metal one to recycle the lead or a sand pile as a backstop.
