Re: Should I get a .41 Magnum?

I’ve read in an old reloading manual, the .41 is “less than useless”. :)

That said, I had a Ruger Redhawk in .41 in the late 90s. Great gun, and lots of fun. But back then ammo was 60 cents a round and I got tired of paying that as I didn’t reload at the time.

Re: Supreme Court to consider whether wifebeaters can own guns

Seems reasonable to me. If the restraining order ends or the person goes to trial and is found not guilty, they can get their guns back. But if you're considered an active risk by the courts, losing access to your guns seems like a pretty smart call. Getting a restraining order approved isn't a mat...

Re: Minnesota cannabis users not allowed gun ownership federally

So if a guy has 2 oz on him, Isn’t high, but gets pulled over carrying; is he then arrested?

Weed is legal in MN. Carrying with a permit is legal. It’s a state officer. Hmmm.

Where to buy from private parties?

First I don’t care about showing my permit or ID, or transferring via FFL, it’s more about cost..,

So are there any places for private sales now? Armslist only? (fees, ugh). This place is dead. AR15 local is light.

Any others?

Re: Dick’s Says Firearms Policy Hurt Their Hunting Business

I've said it here before...having guns along side other sporting equipment is good for our side. So if they quit the hunting business that's not good. Make no mistake, the anti's knew this, talked Dicks into changing their stance and would gladly sell Dicks out knowing our side would push back and t...

Re: Bump fire stocks

So, destroy them or turn them in? With no monetary compensation? There's no way that can fly.\ As a side, I'm not a semi auto rifle guy, so I'm surprised bump stocks and SIG braces are legal I can somewhat understand on bumpstocks (not that I agree) but why would you question the legality of an ina...

Re: NICS checks required again PTC not good enough

; the MN Permit to carry [u ]no longer qualifies in lieu of a NICS check[ /u]. We do not have any official guidance/announcements available at this time. Did a MN carry permit ever take the place of a NICS check? I thought the carry permit was in lieu of a PTP. A dealer still runs a NICS check no m...

Re: Safe space

This video is kind of ********. Most safes are against a wall. So you'd have to flip the safe FORWARD, then flip it over to do what they did. And, most guys I know bolt the safe to the floor. That said, I know it's just a way to show safes CAN be broken into. If you can afford it, buy a safe then p...

Low stock at Frontiersman?

I haven't been shooting much or hitting the gun shops in the past year, just busy with other stuff I guess. I've bought 100's of guns from Frontiersman, Gunstop and others over the years. So I stop in Frontiersman last week and it almost looks like they were going out of business. Their stock was ha...

Re: Dick’s Says Firearms Policy Hurt Their Hunting Business

Again, how many soccer moms will stroll into most gun stores? Just the presence of guns along with lacrosse sticks, hockey pucks and cleats is a good thing for our side. And maybe, just maybe, when the nuts say on TV that "guns kill", the soccer moms may remember the last time they were sh...

I see what you are saying, but I think it's a win for our side to be able to walk into a mall like Burnsville Center and buy a gun.

Re: Springfield Armory Cuts Dick’s Off Completely

It's hard to keep up with who we should be punishing. What did Springfield do again? Can we get a sticky for organizations that are on the Sh!t List and why? Is Jim Beam on any lists - because I believe I'll be dancing with him this evening on the deck - if the weather continues to be this nice. If...
