Re: Can AR-15's be turned into NFA items by executive order?

Seems there is even more chatter regarding the BATF threatening to classify AR15 pistols (Stabilization Brace or not) as illegal Any Other Weapons. Does anyone know if this is true or potentially true?

Re: DNR firearms and bows auction starting

Agree. Went through the whole thing last night. Surprised at how high the bids were. Want a Remington 870 for the price of a new one?

Re: GOCRA?

Hands down the most effective pro-Minnesota gun owner organization in existence today. Think about providing them financial and physical (go to the rallies at the state capital) support. Hi - Simplified version: MN Gun Owners PAC: Direct and independent expenditures in support of pro-gun rights can...

NRA Lockton Affinity Outdoors Firearms Insurance

Just wondering what other members do regarding firearms insurance? The NRA is affiliated with Lockton Affinity Outdoors. Reading the policy coverage, you are basically covered for Fire and Theft. There are limits to what is covered. For example, they do NOT cover: ammunition, bayonets, knives, binoc...

Re: First Wed Lunch - August 5th

The new place in Richfield is right up to par with 98# Buffet. I enjoyed it last month. My vote is for the same place!

Re: Any Stock & Barrel club members?

I've shot at the Eagan facility a number of times. Nice, clean facility that appears to be safely and efficiently run. As others have mentioned, monthly membership costs are somewhat higher than other local ranges (but you get what you pay for). Some of you may know that they have a premium membersh...

Re: Where to buy Black Powder?

Same question in 2020. Might be purchasing a muzzleloader from a friend. Is the answer still Ahlmans for authentic black powder?

Thanks!

WTB -- Used Quality Thermal Scope

Over the past couple of years I've rented thermal scopes when I've gone on hog hunts. My experience is limited with them. I've hunted with a $8,000 Trijicon (REAP-IR) that was very good and a couple of Pulsar units that I was not impressed with. Trijicon REAP-IR.jpg I've been looking for a thermal t...

Re: Is Gov.Walz trying to take us down

I thought about creating a new topic, but this one is close enough... After listening to so many elected and appointed officials not only pander to the looters and rioters, but also (Sunday morning May 31 Walz press conference) demonize white people, there is a need for communication back to those w...

Re: Best way to utize bench space? A perfect layout?

I know this thread is a bit old, but I have a similar set-up to Samginko and BigDog58. I use the Lee loading plates, particularly the basemounts. I put my presses and accessories on the removable plates or make a custom, wood plate for the things that I want to lockdown (see pics). I store the unuse...

Re: Low velocity AR pistol build for HD?

Sbr them. I hear that a lot and am curious why? Is the issue that the ATF will change its policy on stabilization braces? I have a couple of AR pistols (300 Blackout and one like the one above). With the brace they are really fun and I don't want to see them go. Is SBR really the inoculation agains...

Magnum Pistol Powders

Looking to reload 44 Mag and 500 S&W Mag this summer. From what I can tell, IMR 4227 looks like the best powder for Magnum pistols. Anybody have any experience with IMR4227? Others that might be recommended? Reloading data websites show that you can use all kinds of powders for these cartridges ...

Re: Remington 700 triggers

I added a photo of the rifle above. Using it for some long range shooting in South Dakota. Learning how to read wind, MIL a target and generally become a better long range shooter. Shooting 175 grain Sierra Match King bullets. What are you looking to do with the rifle? Hunting? Target shooting? Comp...
