Re: 45 ACP

Came across a posting on Quora.com today where the poster was talking about Marines in WW1 &2 using .45 ACP in the M1917 revolver using half-moon clips. What's the advantage of half-moon versus full-moon clips? https://www.quora.com/What-weapons-did-the-US-Marine-Corps-use-during-World-War-II-We...

Re: Henn. Cty Atty drops charges against Trooper Londregan

"Unintentional murder"? Isn't that a contradiction of terms? I thought "manslaughter" covered various degrees of culpable homicide not considered murder.

Re: NRA Scores Big Win at the Supreme Court

The previous case the court cites was Bantam Books, Inc. v. Sullivan, 372 U. S. 58, 67 (1963), when the Court struck down a Rhode Island law creating a censorship board that threatened action against booksellers who carried works proscribed by the board.

Re: Inside UK's first 'private police force' taking to the stree

What's their actual legal status? In the USA security guards have limited authority unless they happen to be off-duty police.

I'm of mixed opinion on this. Pinkertons and company town police/security guards developed an infamous reputation back in the day.

Re: Chicago mom left waiting hours for help after 911 call for h

The strange part is that so many hoplophobes have so much ingrained helplessness that even if civilization were to collapse (all the way), they STILL wouldn't pick up guns. They'd cower, try to run or hide, and in the end get murdered by the predators.

Re: Trump to address NRA

So what did Trump have to say (and what did it in all probability really mean) at the NRA convention this past weekend?

Re: Okay, this is just ridiculous

That gun is only a little smaller than the one the Joker pulled out of his pants to shoot down the Batplane with.

Re: AI Cameras Spotting Guns?

A term has been coined for obsolete visions of the future- "zeerust". If you want to spend some hours going down a rabbit hole you can check out https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Zeerust and https://davidszondy.com/futurepast/

Re: 3 Gun Bills in MN House

After Bruen and multiple lower court rulings, and with a majority of states signaling their respect for the Second Amendment by passing constitutional carry, one would think we'd be moving towards greater firearms freedom. But everywhere legislatures seem determined to double down on gun control. Pa...

Re: 3 Gun Bills in MN House

So how do things look in the MN Senate? We have posted some updates on this recently on FB, Twitter, YouTube - right now we don't think they have the votes - but that can change. b [sarcasm] How much in donations from the gun industry have you contributed to the Senate? [/sarcasm] Seriously, that's...
