Re: Bill to remove SBR’s from registry introduced

I get there are "rules" about what is and what is not a SBR, I just don't see functional differences between pistols, riffles, and shotguns. Why is this such a big deal with the government? The 1934 NFA almost perfectly tracks what Hollywood depicted in crime movies: the mobster's Tommy g...

Re: Bill to remove SBR’s from registry introduced

Second only to suppressors, the rules about what is and what is not a SBR are so insane and so pointless from any conceivable public safety argument that they should have been scrapped years ago. Instead, we have states looking to ban all semi-automatic firearms from private ownership. :x

Re: All Gun Charges Dropped

In general, any arrests/charges related to guns are always hyped in the news, while dismissals or acquittals of said charges months later for lack of substantiation are ignored. Thus the anti-gun narrative in the media.

Re: Michael Bloomberg’s Top 10 Gun Controls

Only surprise is that it doesn't include a flat-out ban on all handguns.

Typical thinking of someone raised in big city "machine" politics: the Great Unwashed should shut up and do what they're told.

Are cheaps**t laser sights worth it?

I responded to some spam and for the amazing low price of "FREE!" *(plus 14.95 shipping and handling) I ordered a Tacticon laser sight. Since laser sights of various kinds retail for scores or hundreds of dollars, and the rule "you get what you pay for" (or less) was still in eff...

Re: Dem in Virginia working on gun confiscating Gov Says

Surely a flat ban on semi-automatics would get appealed to the SCOTUS with an excellent chance of being struck down?

Re: California man sold illegal AR-15s Feds agreed to let him go

What's stopping them from "defining" any damn thing they want as an illegal weapon?

Re: Dead Armed robber's family bitch victim should not have gun

Exactly how do they suppose that their brother was going to make the clerk hand over money to him? A gun isn't a magic wand that automatically makes people obey you (although I don't doubt there are stupid young punks who think so). Armed robbery is basically when someone has decided that their targ...

Re: California man sold illegal AR-15s Feds agreed to let him go

As I understand it, the case was over at what point a "build party" crossed the line into being a gun manufacturer. Doubtless Roh tried to stay just this side of the law, and trying to prove differently would have blown up in the prosecutors' faces.

Re: Congresswoman Haley Stevens at a gun range

It seems the congresswoman (and several other politicans) in league with Everytown and Bloomberg tried to hide who really was behind this meeting so it would be just their supporters and they could say that all these gun owners supported bans and confisation. That is the sleaziest anti-gun stunt I'...

Re: ATF Admits It Lacked Authority to Issue Legislative Rule

From a post on Quora.com I recently replied to:

Q: "Is it unsafe to fan the hammer on a revolver with an exposed hammer like a Ruger Wrangler?"

A: "Yes; the BATFE would reclassify your hand as a machine gun, since it turns your Ruger Wrangler into a full-auto revolver."
