Re: There’s Just One NRA A-Rated Democrat Left In Congress

Firearms are an orphan issue politically, because they're effectively libertarian. Most Dems are against them but a few still are liberals in the sense of wanting more freedom and fewer restrictions. The Pubs are the pro-gun party by default of simply not being actively against gun ownership, but o...

Re: How Guns Twist the Logic of Self-Defense Laws

Most people would get damn nervous if someone walked around holding a pistol in their hand, open carry laws or not. I think that it would be, if nothing else, courtesy to carry a long gun in public in a scabbard- the long gun equivalent of a holster- unless you think you actually need to draw it. A...

Re: Elbonian Prototype Hakim LMG

Elbonia is indeed a fictional country (see 14:20). If you go to YouTube and search for Elbonia guns you'll find a couple of different joke videos about the worst weapons imaginable.

Firearms and physical disability

I had surgery on my neck vertebrae in late May. As a result, the nerves to my arms were impinged and I'm currently facing months of rehab to regain full use of my arms. This has included my ability to use a gun: as of right now I cannot lift my right arm to shoulder height or standard sighting posit...

Re: Can they really be this stupid

A message from Massad Ayoob https://www.backwoodshome.com/blogs/MassadAyoob/dear-rioters-and-looters/ The Mood of the Courts today is that human life has a greater value than “mere property.” I and virtually all other past and present cops I know share that belief. It’s why you haven’t been shot dow...

This thread would be less confusingly titled as "new gun law technicality leads to 1,102 gun purchase denials".
